To be fair Janet, even as a "public" person you dont have to tell anyone anything.... Tattoes goes with the person story or not, dont fall for the media that wants a teardropping story for every inked piece you have. A tattoo is personal, you got it cause you wanted! I am myself tattoed on most parts of my body and I dont care a bit what everyone else Think, since I like every single piece.

Nice hip, by the way. :) My first was the name of a Northern California town in the mountains where I ran one time after being in Northern Oregon a long happy but/and trying time, and is close to my heart. From age 8. Going to be a bit older soon. Number that is. Like 6 decades. But in my mind I could be 8. Now I play pool, (billiards), quite good. And the number 8 is associated with pool.

I thought it was really sweet of you that you liked that a fan had copied your tattoo as a lot of people get upset when people do that. I had a tattoo on my hip too when I was 18 (I'm mid 30's now lol) I had a flat stomach at the time and where I have put on weight the tattoo has stretched. I also have 4 tattoos in total. I love them all except the awful 'temporary' tattoo I had done in 1999. Still done with a needle but was told it does not go as deep as a normal tattoo and will vanish in 5-7 years, It was a fairy I had done...17 years later and I still have the damn thing. All the black vanished (so all the outline, the arms. legs, face etc) and I have been left with splodges of colour. I am FINALLY getting it covered this September... fingers crossed it goes well...

tattoos are very personal. i am surprised your opinion on the person who got one of yours done to themself. many would be deeply offended. my tattoos are a little more intense, but all tasteful. I am tattooed, pierced. ppl ask how i expect to get a job. i respond with "i have a government job working with children actually." its fun to shut people up.

Janet, I really love the tats, and would love to get some of my own. I have heard once you start, it is hard to stop. I want my family crest tattooed on my arm, for my first tat. I really want to get a tattoo of that Taurus symbol on my left forearm. It's my star sign, but I want it because it means a lot to me. Taurus, to me at least, represents courage, tenacity, perseverance, grounding etc; all things I think that I could use more of every now an again. So yeah, I think if I get the symbol as a tattoo, I'll always have those things with me.
