MY TESTIMONY | Growing up in a Christian home, Backsliding, Dealing with Grief

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. :) This is a video I NEVER thought I would do- but who knows the ways of God? And when God calls you to share this part of your story, you obey. I understand this is new grounds and something I have never shared before, but now is the time to share my testimony and faith in Jesus Christ to all of you watching.
While editing this, I realise I might have touched on a sensitive topic of "why does bad things happen to good people?" and believe me, I too struggle with this question and reality. Yes, bad, very bad things happen to the BEST of people, even people who love God. And I don't have the answer, I really don't and like you I have so many questions. Too many. There's so much we won't know, and I've learnt to know that that is okay. God knows everything, and we don't. And we don't have to know. We have to trust that God is in control and everything is in His time. We live with eternity in mind, life on earth is not our home, this is not the end. We can cling onto the hope that we will have a perfect ending in heaven with our Saviour forever. The bible tells us that faith in Jesus Christ does not guarantee a good life, but a perfect eternity. That, my friends, is our hope and comfort.

It's not simply about getting to heaven but loving others as we have faith in and love God and His promises as we not fall into temptation by relying on what God has given us and live fully in His Word since the devil wants to take us out of the Word and rely more on its' beliefs that make it seem worthy to trust.

Hi Abigail. When you repented from your backslidding, did you have a hard time getting rid of all those bad desires, or they went away overnight ? I have a very similar journey than yours, I too backslid very badly, but I'm not able to not have those desires anymore 😔
