@MikeFoerster2 ай бұрын
It could be a cost thing, just having an HDMI is great, but then you need to include video chips to show the stuff on the screen. I'm still hoping that there will be a firmware update for the other model versions that'll include the ability to use the display app that they've made for the Model 2400.

I’m using a ART MPA PRO (MK1) (from the main out L/R) into a AudioScape Buss Comp into a DP-03 for printing the final mix. The DP-03 I have connected to my TC Electronic Clarity M so I can see my LUFS level and frequency spectrum while mastering. I really hope they do add the individual track level screen off of the usb out with the next firmware update instead of straining my eyesight with the small built in screen as you stated. I do use the clarity M currently while tracking but that individual channel display would be very helpful to have for recording at the beginning stage. Hope they can do it for us Model 24 owners.🤞🏼
@MikeFoerster2 ай бұрын
I don't see why they can't do that display for the Model 12, 16 and 24. I doubt there is a better processor in the 2400 so it should be possible.

@seangooden4746 If you're planning to use it as an interface for the MPC X, standard edition, good luck. If you read the forums, the model 12 has many problems when being used as an interface for the MPC. The MPC X SE might fair better because it has double the ram but the bottom line is that the buffer rate can't be changed. Many people are experiencing clicks and other audio defects along with dropouts. I have an MPC One. I loved the model 12 with it at first. Until I started experiencing some of the problems, especially when I added more tracks. I use mine while working with some live instrumentation for hip-hop music. And if I only have a few tracks, I'm all right. But if I add more than 10 it drops out. I don't know how the model 2400 is gon. Na be helpful to you if the model 12 struggles. The whole point is to be able to add more audio tracks recording at the same time.

I finally got a chance to read a few spec sheets on this. In my head I was like - if I want it, I'll just get it. But there's not enough here to justify it! Transport controls are only play and record? They didn't bother to get the fader controls worked in? (That I know of). They took my RCA's and 1/8 inch of the useless channel. Now it's REALLY the useless channdel for me. I still hate the combined stereo tracks 13/14, 15/16 etc. The remote meter app is kinda cool, wish the M24 had it. I appreciate it's got more I/O for outboard gear. More inserts if you're into that - I'm not - I never insert outboard that way. I think they went to the wrong way with this thing- and I can't justify the extra $1200+ over the M24.
@MikeFoerster2 ай бұрын
Yeah, there are some interesting new things, but a lot of the software changes could've been done with a firmware update on the Model 24. Don't call it the useless channel, you'll get attacked. I probably won't waste my money on it. Like I said, If I get the studio that I want, then I would be more likely to buy it.

I guess you are new to this channel. I'm not the only one who feels the Bluetooth track is useless. At least now they gave it standard TRS inputs so that you can plug something in instead of the RCA jacks found on the other Model versions.
@stevenb92092 ай бұрын
I agree with the other person who comments this is not a useless Channel and is it is the most common stereo channel people use to playback from DAW. It is very handy alive when you want to play music between sets and in the studio it is perfect to play reference tracks from a phone so maybe you should be a little bit more open-minded realizing this board can be used in many ways and in many settings.

@StoryTimePlaceАй бұрын
This is a multi track recorder first and foremost. It makes its bread and butter on being that very thing. If they’re gonna say that it’s a 2400 then it should have 24 single channel strips not 12. Furthermore it should only have two at most three stereo channel strips. Finally if you want to add the useless channel do it at the end and set it up so that it could be used as a regular channel strip.

Thanks for the comments, as stated at the beginning, I don't have a Model 2400 in my possession to try out. If I did it would've been a more in depth video. I did say I'd have to look that one up.
