Very bold decision on capcom's part to add a style into the game that lets you unload an inventory's worth of pierce shot into a monster in under three minutes and then also gave it the best mobility tool in the game

Sometimes, there are days where u just want the monster dead without any hassle. I've been a pure blademaster up until trying valor hbg and man, using that shit to kill a Gravios feels satisfying af.

To be fair, HBG is really rough solo without the super saiyan sprint or you go all in on a shield build. It's kind of just a boring and/or frustrating weapon to use at its full potential, bow is the least narcolepsy inducing gunner weapon in Generations but that's just my stinky opinion. They are much more basic than melee once you wrap your brain around ammo management.

Adept Light Bowgun is probably one of the best intro to gunner weapons in GU. Adept style helps you keep up with some of the fast monsters. Plus the damage bonus and sprint is nice

With the gunner weapons the challenge is making the sets, not using them. Doesn't change the fact that so much preparation leads to a mostly mindless experience unless you're a bow user.

Ok so maybe it was a braindead strat, but it did what HBG was meant to do at its peak. Most HBG strats aren't very big-brained anyways. Guild was vanilla, Aerial was all about the dryhump with pellets, Adept was dodging into crouching fire, Striker was walk & pew-pew with Hunter art spam, but the best was Alchemy which was everything Striker was but with SP bonuses & Alchemy Gear spawning out of the Marry Poppins magic bag of tricks. Alchemy was great. My hot take.

Ironically valor hbg was gunning at its most complex and actually slightly less brain dead, although also it's most broken. Knowing your openings to seige, valor reloading etc. Gunning in rise and world is just brain dead easy mode and I feel bad for anyone that mains guns
