I’ve been contemplating on getting an ‘08 TLS for a while now. There’s a few in my area that are in great condition, have decent mileage and aren’t bank breaking. Would you suggest I get one?

100% would recommend one-prior to supercharging mine, the only thing I did was basic maintenance(fluid changes, ball joints, etc.) and it’s been absolutely flawless after beating on it almost daily🤟

I agree! When it’s outside the mic gets blown out because of the volume so it doesn’t always capture the true sound of the car-I’ll figure out a solution to get crispy sound clips though🤟

How much did everything cost for the kit?

I’m gonna do a full cost breakdown video once everything’s done and it’s driving, but so far: - Gerzy Bear Stage 1 SC Kit: $7,640 CAD / $5,095 USD - Duty Fees(Canada problem only): $1,089 CAD / $797 USD - Innovative Poly Engine Mounts(75A): $567 CAD / $415 USD - Hondata Flashpro: $1,240 CAD / $908 USD Plus random maintenance like OEM ball joints/bushings/valve cover gaskets. The motor mounts aren’t a requirement but I included them because they’re recommended and if a TL has OEM mounts they’re probably cooked at this point. You would also want to do a full exhaust and precat deletes, get better tires, better suspension but I already had all that beforehand. I’m sure I’ll uncover a few hidden costs from things that just need replacing but that’s it so far!🤟

This chassis almost has 400,000km on it😂 motor/trans we’re replaced by the previous owner and have slightly lower mileage, under 200,000km on the motor and the trans probably has about 130,000km on it now. Still feels very healthy and I plan to build this same motor in the next little while!

Hard to explain! I think once you start modifying a car and getting involved in the car scene in general it starts to become a big part of your life-it’s almost like adult Lego lol, you can sort of express yourself through your build, and turn a potentially sub-par car into something that competes with cars 10X the price, sort of like the video games the majority of us played back in the day(Gran Tourismo, NFS, Midnight Club, etc.) I also think a lot of us came from things like BMX and are adrenaline junkies, and this is kinda the next step up to get that same rush haha I’ve met a large majority of my friends from car events or connected with them somehow through cars so its cool imo!

why are people obsessed with watching TV & movies and other things...... cars upgrading cars, doing mods to cars it's a hobby.... I consider modding my 2010 Acura RL sh-awd 3.7L a hobby.... I'm also rebuilding my 2004 audi 2.7t quattro into a track car. It's one of my biggest hobbies
