The Jada Toys Street Fighters have been my fav surprise figs of the year. I’m not the biggest Street Fighter fan and I love the line! And at that price I feel like I can collect the whole line.

I concur completely with your strong subjective list; it is clear that these action figures are the pinnacle of the action figure industry. In fact, it is videos like these that make this esoteric hobby of collecting action figures/toys fun, exciting, new, and interesting for us more ardent collectors. Mister Anthony, on a personal note, I want to thank you for sharing your lovely, honest, and insightful videos with us. Since circa 2012, you have introduced this old English-Italian Doctor to so many new action figure companies and toy lines - with Square Enix Play Arts Kai being the first. This year alone, you have made me a fan of both Mafex and Threezero DLX Transformers. Yes, indeed - your videos have brought me supreme satisfaction in 2024. My word! What a year you yourself had; the renovation of your collection room, moving, being a father and a husband, etc… - all whilst providing us with quality action figure reviews. Thanks a lot for your Favorites it was great watching these figures in your video. The Minotaur is something special. I've determined that due to the silhouette alone, there is no way Guile could ever pass a police line-up. Side note: I watched the 3POA podcast you were recently on. It was fabulous. Not because of the theme (which made the job real easy) but because you articulated the flaws in each figure on your list so well. I would encourage you to film a shelf display setup video. Those shelves are beautiful and I love the white color and it will make your collectibles pop once on the shelf.

I remembered when McFarlane toys had soul in them. I can’t believe how much detailed they packed into their Spawn statue. Each was a piece of art for a very good price. Their other lines had some morbidly twisted love put into them too. Fast forward to today they look and feel similar to marvel legends. Mass produced and disposable.

I know how you feel about higher-end figures. For me, the price of a Storm or SH Figuarts is kind of where I top out in terms of budget. But I vastly prefer a single one of those compared to 2-4 Marvel Legends

That Illidan is my favorite figure in my collection. It’s the only third-party figure I own and I couldn’t believe the quality when I got him. I also hate what Blizzard has become and them not getting any money from me buying a character I love was the icing on the cake. Really fun list!

After playing around with 3rd party Orc figures like the Star Studios "Garrosh" figure, I think I'm going to end up with a collection of WOW figures even though it's been a decade since I touched the game. Illidan is on my list for sure.

Do it man I have 3 orcs 1 star studios and 2 memory toys and I never played WOW lol. Some of the standouts of my collection by far. The Xesray Minotaurs are my number 1 this year and the loose collector wolf is up there but the stiff joints are beyond help. With Blade Master Weng my fantasy shelf is a work of art!

I'm still hoping that Diablo/Hell Big Devil gets reissued, even if they change the company name or whatever. Stuff is good all around, but Diablo II was my jam back in highschool and I'd _love_ to get it for less than ~$300 CAD (because shipping is exorbitant on eBay).

My favorite figure of this year was definitely Jada Toys MegaMan. I'm a sucker for the blue bomber and the fact that we got a new entire line, with that quality and at that price, it's like a dream come true. Second place would be the Spinmaster Kratos, at a very affordable price, they delivered with the God of War, I totally recommend that figure. Coming third, SHFA Tanjiro, it came out at a crazy low price for the brand and it blew Figma and Buzzmod out of the water. Happy holidays Anthony!! Joy to you and your family and everyone here!

I like your list, even if I do not collect some of those figures. My favorite figure of the year was the Heat Boys TMNT Michelangelo. It has rigid metal joints, sharp details, loads of accessories, and it costs 180. It is not as astonishing as the Flame Toys Megazord, which I've seen in person, but it is still an awesome piece. You can tell Heat Boys is doing this line of mecha turtles with care and passion.

My top favorite probably goes to GT Kid Goku, great execution for a small figure with a good chunk of accessories and tags a bit on the nostalgia aspect of hoping they replicate this for OG DB Kid Goku.

My favorite figure of the year is TonsenArtToys “Unbound Wrath: Warped Vengeance “ aka Trunks from the Bojack movie. He comes with so much (including little baby Trunks) and he poses so well (no tightness or loose joints) it just blows my mind that 3rd party companies are giving us figures that Bandai seems to refuse to give us, it even better versions of figures they put out (DemoniacalFit SS4 Goku for example..) If you can, Anthony, find a way to review the Unbound Wrath WV Trunks. He’s so fun.

It's funny you mentioned about collecting higher end figures. I recently have started collection 1/6 scale and higher end figures like the heatboys Turtles and I'm getting the LINGJIHUN Turtles. I'm also seriously considering getting the Moshow Mospeada cyclone rider. Yes, they are expensive, but once you get them in hand, you forget about the price... at least I do.

I can't believe how fast Jada Guile sold out up here in Canada. I normally pre-order but money was tight over the last few months so I put it off and he ended up releasing early and promptly selling out before I could buy it. So now I'm hoping he gets reissued like Ryu did.

I'm gonna be honest. A lot of the figures i have been buying for my collection are licensed chinese figures. Like you said, it seems like the people making them care about quality. It's hard for me to feel bad about it because so many of these companies don't make figures of the properties i want or make trash. So china number 1!

If you like Transart and Masterpiece Transformers you should check out Fans Toys, X-Transbots, MMC, Cang-Toys, Planet X (the 2 Dinobots from the IDW comics), Moon Studio, 01-Studio, Deformation Space and DreamStar Toys. You should also take a look at the Legends scaled ones, New Age and Magic Square and the Chug scale too even though, in my opinion, only one line from one company deserves your attention but they really do deserve it, the MMC Reformatted line capturing the look from Alex Milne drawing in the "More then Meets the Eye" IDW comics. P.S. I forgot the even smaller scale (smaller then the already very small Legends scale) being released by Dr. Wu, their Megatron, that can actually transform from a fairly articulated very cartoon looking Megatron to a surprisingly accurate cartoon looking gun is amazing for the size (we´re talking 6cm, half a finger size). P.S.1. My guilt pleasures AF collecting wise are all the Marvel Legends I end up buying just because I want that character in that version...

Recently, the 3rd party figures have become a necessary evil. The trend with the license holders seems to be just banking on the branding but not giving the customers good product. Yes, I think we all have that guilty pleasure choices.The guilty pleasure figure I picked up this year is the Nendoroid Jaws.

11:00 agreed. Figuarts dragon ball line in particular should be so much better. Throw a little paint on those mofo’s. Give us an effect part. Take a little more time. Tonsen Trunks 06 A and B are my favorite figure in the past year easily and they’re 3rd party I’ll be receiving the Beast Deities Jade Rabbit BAF Vegeta Today and I have a feeling it’s gonna look really nice next to the Trunks and demoniacal fit 3.0 Goku or “Martialist Forever”. All could use a little more paint but the 3.0 body is killer. Bandai is slacking. Transformers that don't transform shouldnt be called transformers...and also should be cheap because of the lack of engineering involved. And for the price of that Storm Fei Long you can buy half of the Jada streetfighter figures.
