Thanks for your videos. I have Dwarf Pencilfish and Clown Killifish. My Clown Killifish keep jumping out! I lost 8! They don't really stay at the top all the time. They swim to the bottom as well. But Dwarf pencilfish stays on the top part of the tank.

I've got Corydoras and shrimp in one of my tanks. Ran out of room for Sardine Cichlid fry, so I put them in that tank. They're all doing great together.

Corys and shrimp are my favorites!!! I've got to check out what a sardine cichlid is it's just amazing how many different species of fish there are that I learn about here on these amazing channels and from you guys🙏🌿🐟🌿

@@marypaigeflynn4512 Paracyprochromis Ningrapinis neon blue is the species. They're really peaceful for a Cichlid. The parents only prey on Shrimpletts and it not that many. The colony still expanded when the adults were in that tank.

Great video as always. In my experience, pencilfish aren’t ‘true’ top dwellers, nor honey gouramis, but I can see why you’d say that. I could see some smaller rainbows or pseudomugils being contenders for your list as well.

Fellow Aussie (and in fact fellow Victorian here) currently trying to decide what Top Dweller can go with an Oscar. The Australia arowana obviously holds its own, but really needs more then a 180 Gallon Aquarium. The Butterfly fish and large Gourami (According to the Internet) are too placid to be kept with an Oscar and will end up dead. Pink tail chalceus are super expensive due to not being on the import list. I can't afford close to $1000 for a school Apollo Sharks aren't here. Freshwater Archer fish require a tank designed for them specifically realistically. They can be kept with a small canopy, but its not exactly fair to them. That really leaves Festivums as far as I know, and their seems to be some debate as to if they are top dwelling fish. Did I miss anything that you know of?

Thats a pretty extensive list. Butterfly fish would eventually be eaten. There are plenty of bottom and mid dwelling options but top is quite difficult

@@Peregrine1989 to be honest I have a tank with 4 oscars and Id just go with oscars only. Less likelihood of issues and they hang out all over the tank anyway
