NOTE... sorry about the 'dada 1982' and 'Steve wagner' slip ups during this video. And yes, I'm aware 'trash' came out in 1989.....I've had a word with myself about it and I'm now on an official warning!!

Nothing touches the original Alice Cooper band. Love It To Death, Killer, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies, Muscle of Love, there was nothing like those guys. Great music, great song writing, great musicianship, theatrics. Guillotines, gangsters and gouls rebellious youth and twisted stories. Dead Babies, Desperados, Loony Tunes, Halos of Flies, Men with Golden Guns, A legendary band from a time when music was at it's greatest! RIP Glen Buxton

It's so refreshing to hear someone else sing the praises of the Alice Cooper albums that have often gone unsung . Especially DA DA , Special Forces , and From The Inside . Nobody writes 'em like Alice writes 'em . Top Marks , and good on ya , boy .

I love hearing anyone talk about Alice. You are obviously an 80’s Alice fan. Being a little older I prefer the early 70’s with original group. My top 3 would be: 1. Killer. 2. Love It To Death. 3. Billion Dollar Babies. In college I saw them on all three tours, and as a student journalist got to meet them backstage and in fact party with them in hotel room following Killer show. My girlfriends best friend dated Michael for a bit.

My all time favorite album of all time , not just Alice, for some reason is "Goes To Hell". I love everything Alice. Dont get me wrong. I never knew why. I dont think there were even musical credits on the record. Im a guitar player. And this obscure album is my #1. Well then we find out Hunter and Wagner were the guitar players. That explains that.

I know that it's subjective, but "From the Inside" will forever be my favorite of his albums. I love the that you added "Special Forces" and "Zipper Catches Skin" because I love these also and they don't get the recognition they deserve. Of course all the albums with the original band are amazing but of the ones from the last 20 or so years I would add "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" which is a throw back to the old Alice and "The Last Temptation" 1994.

My top 3 1. Goes to Hell 2. Welcome to my Nightmare 3. Billion Dollar Babies After that I'm all over the Alice map, from Constrictor and Rose's on White Lace, to Brutal Planet and Pick up the Bones, to Paranormal and the whole album really, Alice Cooper just has such an amazing catalog of music, it's difficult to choose, hell my top three shift around to my mood.

The songs are so compelling. It's a shame that Pretties For You and Easy Action never get much attention. I think they are very good records. I got into Alice Cooper In 1975 when my cousin had Killer and BBBs lying on the floor and I played the Killer record. When I got back home, I joined his fan club and my mom bought me some more of their albums.

My first concert right after graduating jr. high. Tickets were $7.50. What a show! Alice Cooper had the big tv screen he jumped out of. The dancers, the cyclops, the guillotine, his snake(when did he start performing w his boa?) Absolutely what my teenage self needed, the horror, the shock, the rock, the escapism...Still have the tour program! Those vinyl albums were thoroughly absorbed, Billion Dollar Babies(the song itself about masterbation), Welcome To My Nightmare, AC Goes To Hell, From The Inside (seen that tour at Oakland Collisiem Arena), Flush The Fashion, Special Forces (seen that tour Concord Pavillion, Calif), Schools Out, Greatest Hits... AweSome!AweSome! AweSome! that bygone era. I remember too, checking out his bio/history book from the small public library back then. Thank you, Alice, for all you've given, And Still Giving, to the music world! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

Hello from Singapore. Just found your channel . Alice cooper is my idol along with Kiss growing up in the 70s. My love for rock ,usic began when my uncle gave me and my brothers, 3 albums - Deep Purple Machine Head, Sabbath's Master of Reality and Alice Cooper's Killer. My life changed after that. My favorite Alice album as a band is Killer and my favourite Alice after that is Welcome to My Nightmare and Goes to Hell second. My 3rd, may surprise you. Its Brutal Planet. Its his heaviest album to date.

Alice has said, in interviews that I've seen, that he's neglected the early 80's stuff (not performed it in concerts and such) for a long time mainly because there hasn't been enough demand from audiences for it.. However, he has been performing more of THAT material in his more recent shows cause its been catching up in popularity a bit with his fans.

Trash came out in 1989 not 87 as you mentioned. It's always interesting to hear folks pick any of Alice's " black out" albums as he calls them, as their favorites. He calls it that because he was drugged out on coke during that period and doesn't remember recording or writing them at all. My fav then was Special Forces. I would like to do some of the songs live from that period now. Anywho, enjoyed your take on your top favs, all subjective of course, but still always nice to hear Alice fans talking about his records. I agree with your number one choice by the way. I thought it would be easy to do a top 10...I was wrong. It was a nightmare. I wanted to put about 20 albums in the 10. Thanks for stopping by. Nice one.

I love those "black-out" albums from the early 80's. I really ought to dig out my LPs and see how they compare to the CD releases which, frankly, need to be given the remaster treatment to brighten them up a little.

I believe Alice did actually record a non-demo version of Look At You Over There, for whatever reason they still just haven't released it.

Yes Dirty Diamonds. Eyes of Alice Cooper to. Both a return to that 70s garage sound. Crazy lyrics. People missed these two.

Nice one. So great to hear about so many of Alice's albums that don't get much attention.

Yer always gonna lose me if Killer isn't #1 and Love It To Death isn't #2. We can argue about the placement of the others, but all the original Alice Cooper Band albums have to be on it (yep, including Pretties For You and Easy Action). I dismiss just about everything of his later years, from Dada onward... but, that's just me. I wouldn't put any of his new-wavey stuff on a best list, but I do have some oddball affection for it. I was disappointed in them at the time but they've aged well. Anyway, I don't agree much, but it's still interesting to hear your takes even if I beg to differ. :) Good work, keep it up!

That's a great I'm a huge Alice Cooper Fan have every one of his albums. It is so great to see love for Dada(my #3 favorite) I love that album so much so underrated. Those early eighties Alice Cooper albums are so underrated in my opinion. My number 1 favorite Alice Cooper is From the inside no question.

Some of the more so-called obscure albums are classics. Thanks for brining these to light. Zipper Catches Skin is awesome. Looks like I'm adding more to my collection.

Interesting take on AC. The early '80s era doesn't usually get much love. You left out my fave from that period, Flush The Fashion - his often lambasted "New Wave" album. Side One of that record is just perfect. And the lyrics as always are just venomous. My Top 5 in no particular order got to be Welcome to My Nightmare (probably number 1, though), From the Inside, Billion Dollar Babies, Flush the Fashion and Killer. Keep up the good work!

what happened to the original album version of Only Women Bleed? A couple of years ago I had a hankering for the full five-minute version with the slow-down in the middle but they even had the truncated single-edit on the Spotify version of the album. I remember they used to play the original five-minute version regularly on the radio in the 70s even though there was the edited version available. Strange how the full version seemed to fall out of favor to the point where kids today may not even know it existed. I consider the edited version to be inferior.

I totally agree with DaDa, much overlooked. I'm not actually a fan of the early 80's stuff, like yourself, so I was a little apprehensive when buying it, but wow, I'd have missed out on a classic for sure. Humourous and heaviness together.

Interesting list. Of course not the same as mine would be (it never is). Very much on board with the top choice, though. That is an absolute epic.
