the top 4 are the ones i’m truly crazy about. straight starkid ships are so easy to obsess over (although i do headcanon most of them as bi and trans)
i ship ruth/richie/pete/steph all together but it was easier to have them separate

he sent inappropriate messages to a band member and posted an apology that was asked for by the band member but none of the fans really thought was satisfactory. starkid consulted an hr professional for their statement where they said that he would have to demonstrate growth and rebuild trust before participating in future projects. i don’t remember the details of what he said later but i think it’s on reddit somewhere. he had also mostly lost favor with the fandom already because of how much arguing he did on twitter

If anyone ever questions the quality of Nightmare Time, the fact it brought us Holloway and Duke is all the proof needed of how good it was, legitimately some of the Hatchetfield characters I'm the most invested in (And that's the despite the sheer chemistry Jon and Lauren have when acting together, like beating Paulkins is an almost impossible feat)

it's kinda wild that the main straight ships in starkid (especially hachetfield) are so good that i obsess over them like i do with lgbt ships in other fandom spaces. (as a queer person) However i do think this is partly bc so many of those ships come paired with the bittersweet tragedy of finding each other in every universe only to be pulled a part and put on trial in some way that is heavily reminiscent of lgbt pairings in media history. but also the hachetverse is just so fleshed out that even non-canonical ships have such great chemistry with each other

Nick has stated that General John McNamara is married, but hasn't said who his husband is. Re-watching their moments together - I can definitely see the chemistry between John and Xander. If they confirm that Xander was his husband the whole time (specifically in a future musical or a Nightmare Time episode - possibly 'ORBWEAVER'), then I'll have no objections about it AT ALL. Hopefully we can see who his husband is sooner rather than later.

My personal favourite ships and ranking reactions: #7 Tom & Becky - ALRIGHT (most underrated couple) #5 Alice & Deb - SWEET (clearly care and support each other) #4 Pete & Stephanie - HALLELUJAH (Loved their chemistry throughout NPMD, still need to see their Nightmare Time episode from start to finish) #3 Lex and Ethan - THEY DESERVE BETTER! (Can't there be ONE TIMELINE where they're happy and raising Hannah together! PLEASE!!) #2 Paul & Emma - I LUV THEM, SOOO MUCCCCHHH (They're the reason the I not only got into the Hatchet Franchise, in Starkidvin general. Also like how in all of their installments together - they're either already together or are clearing going to end up together. For better or the worst circumstances) Note need to catch-up on Nightmare Time, before I give opinion on Holloway and Duke. Although, I can already tell it's a great pairing just due to the fact that they're played by one of the Starkids' power couple Kim & Curt.

The duality of gay headcanon ships. On one hand you have paul and bill where the ship kinda takes away from their entire established canon and plays into stereotype for the sake of being gay and on the other you have General John MacNamara Of The United States Military and xander lee. A ship thats all but canon just based on the dialogue and acting choices of the cast. I love it and the garbarr ship.
