Wow, thanks for showing off the large lock collection, they are fantastic. I was hoping you would pull out that Squire at the end, I remember LPL and Bosnian Bill's video of them trying to blow it open using 50 cal rounds, it was near impossible. Great video, thanks again!

Astonishing collection!!! If you don't have it yet in your collection it's a must to own and hold the legendary and discontinued Mul-T-Lock E18-H. Weighs exactly 2 kilos, 18mm shackle, all hardened steel, was patented and made entirely in Israel since late 90s until 2010. It was the first padlock to reach CEN6+. I now happen to own THREE of them, yes 3. In my recent video-review on my channel I show two of them

18mm shackle?!! Wow thats BIG. I wonder what it was designed to be used for.

@@penfold7800 it was made to be locked on a 10 lbs padbar called Multlock PB18 which I happen to own aswell. that padbar has to be well welded first to steel structures, doors and gates

Very nice exposé of your top 16. I own three of the ones you have, being the Abus Rock 83/CS80, the Mighty Kasp 19070X (and I have its smaller bro the 19070 Open Shackle) and of course the Superlative Squire SS100CS (and I have its smaller bro Squire SS80CS) I admire your excellent Chubb, exquisite RotaLock and stalwart Assa-Ruko 4-5, as ones I wouldn't mind having in _my_ collection, all incredibly hard to source these days, collectors just don't wanna part with em. Not only do they look grandiose they are also incredibly resistant to picking and other forms of physical attack. So overall Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice collection! 💯

Yes. Jealousy and Envy are becoming a thing in my lock collecting life. That Rotalok is a thing ive lusted after since I saw on on Bosnianbills channel.

@@penfold7800 I used a Rotalok at work (13 years ago) to secure the main gates. It was a heavy well made strong shackled beast. I'd love one penfold7800 my collection is not complete without this Leviathan. Also, do make sure you have an Abloy PL362 or at least PL350 in your collection, you're missing out if you don't. I do plus the rarer PL358 as well...got to be done! 🤪

I have italian CISA branded door lock with 6 levers (doublesided) and also liquid nitrogen and gunpowder protection , and it weights around 1kg or 2lbs. There are cuts under the keyway to prevent pouring these or trying to render lock unusable by pouring glue and other stuff inside the keyway. Lever configuration is 3+3 , meaning - it tensions from the middle , and there are additional protection plates to prevent drilling through it. Tho , even if you drilled it , you'd mangle levers making it impossible to open even with key. My biggest padlock and toughest is the Abloy 340 , slightly over 500 grams or 1.x pounds with hardened steel body and boron shackle and Abloy Protec core inside. According to its spec sheet , it is designed for remote storages and can sustain most violent attacks.

Mul-T-Lock MT 50 is the biggest one I have, Oh and the Squire Warrior combi lock. Im still looking for a Rotalok to add to my collection. My favourites at the moment are the two Abloy padlocks I have cos theyre big, heavy and shiny with recessed DD cores in them. Im surprised you didnt show a Battleship or ERA lever padlock here, those are pretty big too. I like the laminated hardened steel design on the ERA bodys, which is why I have Two.

What an eye opener, This is the first (for me) seeing most of those locks. I like the look of the lock at 2:30 if you put a radiation warning sticker on it people would think it contains plutonium. 😂

The Bowley has the weakest (smallest dia) shackle of them all -- Never seen the BiLock -- very cool -- I've modified my Squire to have two (KD) ASSA V-10 KnK cores in it, with help and parts from the actual lock designer at Squire. Thanks Ash for sharing

that Squire, is that dual core the dual custody where it takes both keys to get the open, as it looks in the video?
@LockNoob Жыл бұрын
Well it sort of works as dual custody, or at least COULD do. Both sides are same bitting . Seems like the design is such that it’s just easier to make work with one core responsible for one ball bearing each

@@LockNoob yeah I have to admit I'm interested in those top of locking mechanisms where you have to turn two keys like a safe deposit box as a lock, I think that would be totally neat to have in a collection

Lock Noob, you left out something very important from this video. Which keyed padlock is easiest for you to pick open in seconds, an Abus little padlock or heaviest weight Squire padlock?

New method of deterring thieves: after the lock is open it crashes down on the picker's foot sending them to the hospital. Seriously, wonderful finds, great to see.

Just thinking...it appears that the ginormous Squire's keyways are really close together. If each key was on a key ring, could they get in the way of each other in key insertion or turning when using the padlock? Seems like it could be a problem but I'm not sure. Perhaps if the lock was just made as a "what if" joke it wouldn't actually matter ;)
