That's so cool. I wasn't even aware of the Rusty Dessert Monitors existence until last week. I don't know how it escaped me. Great video and excellent choices

All good mate! I’ve been in the same boat recently. Hence the lack of uploads. Hope everything is alright now mate or at least on the mend.

All very solid choices mate, another great video as always Edit: tristis are definitely my fav but mitchelli are a close second, hope when I move to Australia eventually that I'll be able to own them.

They are pretty common in the hobby here so now you’ll be able to!

I'd definitely say mine is: 1. Panoptes 2. Eremius 3. Glebopalma 4. Perentie 5. Both Southern and Northern Pilbara Rock Monitors (couldn't pick a favourite, lol)
@BeachesScalyBeasts5 ай бұрын
Panoptes are dope. That’s a solid list!

Awesome list !! 👌 I'm in canada and have a kimberley rock monitor, arguably my favorite reptile I keep!!

I think I would have to go with 5. Kim rocks, 4. glebos, 3. Spencer's, 2. Pilbara rock monitor, 1. perentie. That said, it is very difficult to rate such a cool group of lizards. I have only seen 14 Australian species in the wild, so I am just under half way to seeing them all. Hopefully I'll be able to tick another 2-3 this fall.

That’s a solid list! Yeah it really is hard. They all have their merits. Oh nice! Where are you off to?

When you make stuff out of tile pointing do you have to hose it off after it drys or can you put it straight into a tank
@BeachesScalyBeasts5 ай бұрын
It depends really. I don’t usually hose it off however when I built my frog tank I gave it a thorough hose down to be sure there wasn’t any residue at all for her highly permeable skin.

Hello, I am breeding pygmy monitors in Korea. Can you tell me the temperature and humidity of the kennel My monitor hides in a tree and doesn't come out all day. What's wrong with that?
@cheoleom46205 ай бұрын
It's been 10 days since I brought the monitor home
@BeachesScalyBeasts5 ай бұрын
If it’s new it’ll hide for a while. It’s only trying to adjust to a new environment. I don’t really monitor humidity but my basking spot temperature’s are usually 50c roughly with plenty of areas for them to escape the heat.
@cheoleom46205 ай бұрын
@@BeachesScalyBeasts Thank you. My current kennel is exo terra 90cm/45cm/45cm, but after seeing your recent video, I decided to change to a higher breeding ground. Thank you so much. There is no one in Korea who grows pygmy monitors..😂
