Thank you so much for this video! You provided some great tips that were unlike any others I’ve seen. I think it makes a difference when you’ve gone through the process, struggled along the way, and are helping all of us out with lessons you’ve learned along the journey! For the tip you provided about learning to your understanding, would you have any advice on learning variances? I don’t think I understand the way Becker is teaching variances in BEC and that’s most likely what caused my failing score. Thank you for all your advice!
@TheAccountingStruggle5 жыл бұрын
Silver Wu thank you so much for your feedback Silver. I failed BEC before too (more than once). I will put out a video explaining variance analysis in my own way, it’s one of my favorite topics. Be sure to subscribe.

Oh wow, thank you so much for the variance video! After watching it and reflecting tonight that you said one viewer asked you for this video, I realized (literally after a whole day of work ahah) that you meant me! Thank you so much for thinking of me as you created this video! Would love more videos like this b/c I think the way you explained it made more sense than all the lectures and reading I’ve been doing on this topic!

You’re an amazing and one of my inspirations. I am African Arab, from Saudi Arabia and going to work on SOCPA exam, it’s totally the same license as CPA and even more harder than a cpa. After I have been watching some videos of you, now I can tell I’m highly encouraged to start the SOCPA Journey. Love from KSA and wish you all the best

@TheAccountingStruggle3 жыл бұрын
It varies based on your level of comfort. I would run through all the questions in that particular set first before I listened to the lecture because I needed to.
@samboone76874 жыл бұрын
When you did the multiple choice questions first, did you go off of prior knowledge? Or did you skim textbook to find the answer? Also did you only go through the questions once. Then 100% them after the lecture?
@TheAccountingStruggle4 жыл бұрын
I went off prior knowledge and I definitely didn’t get 100% the first time at all lol. I did the first run through, listened to the lecture, then came back and tried the questions again with a better understanding of the concepts.

What your thoughts on buying the study guides and self studying without paying thousands for review courses?
@TheAccountingStruggle4 жыл бұрын
I would honestly not recommend that. There is a lot of material on the exam that may not make sense without being explained and broken down further. To put it like this, even with the best review guides, lectures, multiple choice questions, and practice simulations- on average these exams have a less than 50% pass rate. You want to utilize all the help you can for the CPA exam. Its worth the investment.

Would you say a CPA is one of the top careers out there?
@TheAccountingStruggle4 жыл бұрын
Fueifsumvzk h I would say it depends on what you’re doing WITH your CPA but yes-it’s one of the best because of the wide range possibilities. Note:this is all pretty subjective and bias ☺️
