You’ve become the only person on KZbin I can trust when it comes to building and growing this kind of business. Most KZbinrs now are making 10-15 min long videos about getting “rich quick” without saying anything informative just so they can try and sell you a course at the end 🙄 You’ve taught me soo much and I’m always taking notes while listening to your videos because I know you’re being HONEST. I hope you continue making real content so you can help more people. Thanks girl! 👏🏼

I have yet to run etsy paid ads since I began selling on etsy in 2011, however I have my off site ads that run continuously and I can see how much extra revenue I make monthly using off site ads. I also run daily/weekly sales and I can track the additional revenue from those sales monthly too. I would recommend to those sellers who are not running etsy paid ads to at least run off site ads and sales in you shop. I know that by doing just these two things to promote my shop etsy has pushed my listings up in their algorithm. After all etsy is a business that wants to make money any way they can through their sellers. I hope one day I can feel comfortable spending hundreds a month on paid advertising. 😊

Thanks Hanna for sharing your valuable knowledge. I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want to run adds. The largest budget for a majority of all companies is their marketing budget. Companies spend millions on advertising for a reason. It’s part of doing business. If you do find it difficult to do so, look at it as an investment in your company as oppose to an expenditure. There’s a formula. And a significant percentage of revenue goes to advertising for the simple fact these companies know for every dollars they invest in advertising the ROI will be 2, 3 or more times that. If it weren’t for the advertising they wouldn’t be as successful as they are. Promote yourself every way imaginable. It’s for the long game. Not a few months. Real, authentic methods of doing business requires commitment and dedication to the process and having the discipline to see it through. Then after whatever amount of time you set for yourself, reassess your parameters and make adjustments. Then continue with another ad campaign. Always advertise and know as you grow so too will your advertising budget. Which again, over the long play, will make you more successful. Not to mention the tax write off you’ll get. You doing a disservice to yourself if you don’t. Possibly setting yourself up for failure. With it being a tax write off makes it a win. Especially with the data it will provide you for future guidance and attention. I’m in the research mode of this new endeavor and I’ve been learning a lot from listening to experienced an successful Etsy shop owners like Hanna. I appreciate you taking the time to share these wonderful nuggets of information. I’m gaining a much better understanding of what I’ll be getting into and how to set my expectations.

Hello Hannah , thank you for all amazing tips , i have been binging on your vidoes. I have question about posting same product with different Mockup or different keyword / description/ tag. Do you post say a listign with 3 different SKU on one day and next day you post different versions of those SKU ? Or do you post one SKU with its 3 different versions on same day ?

Yes in one launch

Option B : you launch three different product in day 1 and day 2 you launch three different versions of those products. I hope my question makes sense 😅 Thanks a bunch again for taking time to reply Hannah ❤️

Your videos are very motivating for me. I'm coming to the end of my 7th week of selling digital downloads (60 sold so far). Only a handful of my sales have come from my ads, so my ad spend is higher than the revenue they are generating at this early stage. I was unsure if I should put them on pause, but I'll keep them going and see how things change in the next few months.

Yes I would keep spending its normal to be negative in the beginning !! But of course only if the listings are optimized !

12% of your sale for a marketing cost % is extremely cheap you will not get that on google to your own website, tik tok , fb or IG unless your just an influencer bringing organic traffic

My store has over 2000 products so how would you recommend I advertise shall I advertise all or just pick about 100 or something
@EcomHannah Жыл бұрын
If you have over 2000 products and you haven’t started advertising yet, and I would say just turn on the ones that make you regular sales and test out maybe 20 or so at a time of the other ones to see if putting some fire behind it helps. Pick a number you are willing to spend with zero return and once it hits that number, I would turn it off.

@@EcomHannah I have a kids store!! So I don't want to conflict with that!! What do you recommend???
@EcomHannah Жыл бұрын
You can open a second account but it just needs to be selling different items. If your a newbie stay away from that until your first store is completely maxed out to it’s potential and not only running itself but growing by itself with proper systems in place. Opening a second brand always takes away from the first that’s why I recommend don’t do it until you believe you completely maxed out the potential of the first. One big indicator you have not, is if you have not maxed out your ad budget.
@kushyisrael1652 Жыл бұрын
@@EcomHannah Thank you, first store isn't maxed out, it's just kinda sitting dormant, I have way more creative ideas for the second store!!
@EcomHannah Жыл бұрын
@@kushyisrael1652 Okay yea then if your wanting to close the first and completely start refresh with a second you can do that or just start building off the existing store, change the name and branding and all the listings if you have reviews on that account already it will set you ahead rather then starting all over with 0 reviews

Hello! I have a question. I want to sell digital wedding invitations on Etsy which will have about 10 files there will be an option for people who want to buy only 2 files and my question is how can I make those people receive a link with only those 2 files instead of all 10? Is there an option on Etsy to make it automatically send different links for different orders? Thank you
@EcomHannah Жыл бұрын
I am not totally sure since I do not sell digital downloads, but they may have to buy from 2 different listings to get 2 different links or if they buy one that has 2 links the orginal link that it sends them some how would have to funnel to the 2 things they purchased

That depends on so many variables - where you are located, what type of shirt it is, who is your customer avatar, etc

Thanks the tips, but people dont visit my store, they visit my products, so thats wy i think you DO need to spread products simultaneously, but only if you master that branche, dont upload stickers if you suck at photoshop, dont upload templates if you dont understand it etc, but do spread and see what brings you viewers, snd and do what you like and love, because consistent is the hardest part online, offline we ment to work for it even on bad days but online we want instant results.

Hi Hannah, I have digital store for over 4 months now and to made it more automated I should work for a while more because it is kind a competitive niche but it is giving me some great results so I cannot complain. I was thinking to open a pod store and run them togheter but maybe focusing more on the pod store because it is new and like split with the digital one and doing so. You think it is a little bit to soon ? What do you think about it ? Thank you! 🙂 Last question is I recently became a star seller and do you think I should take advantage ot that and run ads ? (i'm under 100 sales) Thank you for your time! 😄

Always great tips!! Thank you for laying it all out like it is. I prefer it this way than those that make it seem all so easy. It's not, IT'S SO HARD, but its been fun :) My question is, i think i may have fallen into one of the beginner traps lol and my store now has digital downloads and pod stuff but they all do fall under the same umbrella-ish. Like birthday cards + other items they can buy as gifts for example jewelry, shirts or mugs. Am i hurting my store? :( how do i recover from this? Halp!
@EcomHannah Жыл бұрын
Heyy no worries at all and thanks for watching :) it is easier to launch things in those spaces but I would say it’s better to scale and automate one before switching to say jewelry pod so max out your systems with say printify first and selling those type of items before say building digital downloads. Master one, get a proof of concept for your self and then start on another
