Not gonna lie, there was a minor shock, but when it comes down to it, you're still one of my fellow Marines. You're still part of the 4th Mar family. As I did then, and i still will, I will always support you. You fucking awesome! love ya! Ski

You will. You will know when it's time, when you are ready. Don't let anyone else try to control your transition timeline. I'm sure you will be just fine!

Good for you! You are a brave individual and I applaud you. The world would be such a better place if nobody had to fear being themselves. Awareness is where it's at - I'm with you 100%

Sophie you are a perfect example of a human being, All of the characteristics, determination, empathy, courage, funnininess (if that's even a word XD) are displayed by you, if I walked past you in the street I would have no idea of who you once were, you truly have been reborn and I wish you the best life possible, maybe one day someone could call you mum !! Yours sincerely Sam

Thank you Sam! I appreciate your support and compliments. I am making progress with myself, both inside and out, very slowly but it is progress. I am hoping that I might be able to help others do the same! Your kind words were just the pick me up I needed today!

Being a transgender female myself who didn’t start her until age 57, I say to you “live your heart”. Never be afraid. I am at 14 months now. Happiest I’ve ever been. BZ

That s called disphoria, when you feel you don t match your own body... It s not a game or an abomination, like ignorant people think, these people suffer, and deserve to be happy! All the best... 🌹❤️❤️

+Serenity Chacon I am so glad that this has been able to help you... even just a little. I wish you the best of luck and so much love. It is a hard road, but it does get better. I would never go back to the person I was pretending to be. If you ever need anything, please let me know.

Getting ready to visit a therapist on Monday who specializes in this sort of thing. Squid who hauled you cargo around, or at least the air wings. Taken a slightly different path to get there, but still walking it :). Glad to see that you are doing well there!

Semper Fidelis! It takes a lot of balls (pun intended) to do what you're doing. I knew there were gays in the Marines but I read somewhere there's a high percentage of active duty Marines who might identify as transgender. I really hope they come to terms to their identity and not commit suicide. We don't need more suicides for active duty, reserves and veterans. On your video you said you thought about committing suicide. I'm glad you decided to live your live and not take the "easy" road. I wish the best and oorah!
@amindunbroken53368 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you chose to watch. Hopefully this helps to educate you and others in a particular circumstance that you may not be very familiar with. Transgender people are twice as likely to have served in the military. We are out there. I know a lot of transgender service members. .

The 1st thing to remember is what i call the "Terran Prime Directive". Every one of us has the right to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. You Sophie, having volunteered for active military service, have even more right to live your life as you see fit. To hell with the haters, be who you want to be, and if i may quote the great bard Seuss, "those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind".
@amindunbroken53369 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and advice! I have been telling myself this over and over for the last two days. Coming out to everyone and exposing myself like this was horrifying, but I am so glad I did it and so much happier. Being honest with others, whether they accept it or not, feels so much better than living a lie.

A lot of people need to understand being trans is literally a battle field in your head it takes real bravery especially to transition m to f any man can conquer with the bravado of a stoic frame but to own your identity that has the foundation of femininity and not waver in your mission to be your true self takes a whole nother level of courage that many “men” will never experience. Trans people have more courage then so many men who even as men never do anything with their lives and just follow the heard get a job they hate drink beer every evening after work and have a wife they aren’t really in love with
