Not getting good sleep sucks and it can become a vicious cycle that feeds itself. Yep. I’ve been on TRT for over a decade. I was formerly a bodybuilder that stopped after 30 due to some health issues. However, after coming off of everything, my T levels crashed. I didn’t have any libido or much vitality. TRT brought that back, and although it didn’t bring me to Olympia level, it did allow me to hold an impressive physique, while still squatting over 600 lbs while having abs. As some have mentioned, once you’re on it a while, your natural levels will never recover to what they would’ve been otherwise. In my case, I was at 140 ng/dl, so I really didn’t have anything to lose. I’m 48 5’8” 240 lbs at < 10% bf. I wish Eric the best on this journey, and it totally makes sense.

In just 3 months I already feel like I’m 20 again! even with my 2 little kids wearing me out on the daily. * I also highly recommend doing a 30 day caffeine fast. Brought major changes/benefits. * I’m willing to bet TRT is going to be a huge deal in the coming decades now that most boys & men are much more sedentary and have relatively poor mental health. Great conversation and input from your first hand experience. At 41 now I’ve been longing for the energy I had 10 years ago. I got hurt in a bicycle accident about 5 years ago and quit all working out. Woke up at 41st bday scale said 275 what a shocker then quitting drinking, cleaning diet up, and walking 2-4 mi 3x a week I’m down to 240 energy is better but not peak. I’ll definitely look into trt.

Firstly brother, you're looking and sounding great. Really happy for you. As males we don't talk about this much and I've got a lot of respect for males in positions like yours for talking about it. Menopause and HRT is a really common discussion for females, and males go through similar life changes (whether that's for service men or civilians). Great work brother. All my best from across the Pond 🇺🇸 💪 🇬🇧

Thank you for your honest video. This confirms what I have been thinking for myself. I am a 38-year-old Navy Veteran and have been trying to get tested with the VA, accurately, for years. As you can imagine, it has been a bit of a struggle. I just got diagnosed with sleep apnea last month and waiting to get a CPAP. This also prompted my new VA doc to get me a T test this week on a morning between 8 and 10am. Once I get the numbers, they will want another test more than a week after but no more than a month after, again, between 8 and 10am to get an accurate comparison. If low, I plan to start TRT because I agree with you, there is no point in feeling rotten for the rest of your life because of toxic and environmental exposures. I know that everyone's experience may vary and I may not plan to do this forever, but I am going to consider it more now after this video. Thank you again.

Well done! A needed conversation. Needed it at 65. Suspect my levels were low for quite some time, but I had no clue. Now I recommend to guys (especially over 40) to get the blood test. Just take enough to get back to what a normal level is for your age. Taking too much can have negative side effects.

I've did the pellets for 2 years and then I switched to the injection only because of cost. The injections are so much cheaper but the results are more or less the same. FYI many people think it is all about bedroom performance, it is much more than that. Low testosterone can cause problems with your thyroid, cause irregular heart beat, problems sleeping and so much more.

@jeffbrund I wanna clarify my statement : Due to repeated infections ( and I think can't recover ) I will probably need to start, but before anybody with like 300-400 start doing it, or let's say 240-250 , please consider changing lifestyle etc... My issue was absolutely the infection cause I was a bodybuilder, no Testosterone= no muscle. I started losing strenght and size super fast compared to normal. My message is to anybody young that thinks it's an " eldorado ". If someone as you said it's on the very low spectrum ( Yeah sub 100 is critical ) I understand and approve doing it. I had 140-150 ( multiple blood samples during 2 years ) and felt terrible. Still don't feel good, will be probably forced to start.

After 20 years in the Australian Army, 6 years as a cop and 13 years as a Correctional Officer, my body is worn out. Almost 60 and feel like I am 80. All those years of rugby didn't help either I guess. 39 years of hard work has taken its toll. It is 1st of January 2025. Time to cut the alcohol and hit the gym again. I feel so much better after I exercise. I hate needles so I will be doing it by eating clean and exercising and cutting down on the piss. Trouble is, living in the tropics, beer tastes bloody nice on a hot day. 😜

There are many different mechanisms that stem from testosterone production. Estrogen production for example is neuroprotective and good for blood vessels, bone and joint health. Which is aromatized from testosterone. TRT is not the answer for everyone, but for some it can be life changing.

Glad you did the video, it's something that a lot of people don't know about or understand. Just to stress, you want a physician that understands the program, urologists or endocrinologists are typical and specialized in male hormone imbalances. It's not very common in general medical knowledge and it's kind of a new field. Many medical issues can be a chicken and egg cause or relation to this. If you are overweight and sedentary, you will get inflammation and in turn your hormones will be out of balance. You need to look at the whole picture, clean up your diet, get exercise, be sure you sleep ok (sleep study is another topic), and if you are still low, TRT can be a big improvement.

I’m 59 yrs old 6’3”at 250 pounds have been on TRT for 9 yrs. Retired firefighter. I was feeling crappy was in a fog. Had my numbers check and was at a total of 98. I’ve always done the gym and still do. Never let them put you on a two week schedule of TRT because you want consistency and not a crash. A week is about right. I’m currently on 90 mg a week. I was at 100 but TRT can elevate your red blood cell count which happened to me so my dose was lowered. Everyone is different so some need less and some need more. My doctor’s normal total testosterone numbers is between 300-890. I’m currently just over 400. Wish I could go higher but I can’t. Anyway the fog I had is now gone. Also don’t forget…..TRT is a lifetime commitment.

53 year old retired USAR Iraq Veteran. I actually ended up at the VA for low energy and a host of other concerns. They did check my Total and Free testerone levels, total I was low but free I was in range. Free is available to be used by the body. I’ll keep an eye on it. I’m not opposed to getting TRT in the future, but I agree with others to let nature run its course until I’m not a normal old man just slowing down. I’m ok with getting old. If you’re outside of healthy levels for your age, I can understand.
