Make sure you check the top side of the lifters where the pushrod sits. It could have a collapsed lifter. Make sure the dish part looks the same on all of them. If 1 is pushed down more than the others then it is a collapsed lifter

If your smart you can pull the engine and build it into a 408 stroker, they die because of the oil pump pick up oring most of the time doesnt take much to starve them
