My current situation now. I got pregnant unexpectedly in December after being married for two months and now I'm about to have a son any day now. Although I did not want to get pregnant that quickly, it's still a blessing from God. 😊

I got pregnant with our 3rd son unexpectedly. I was on the Paragard IUD, and thought we were done having kids. We were making all these plans. I missed my period. 5 days late, woke up, opened my Bible before I tested, the scripture was Proverbs 19:21. I knew immediately the test would be positive. I took the test, and POSITIVE! I cried like a baby. That was the hardest 9 months of my life. That baby is 3 years old now, and has been a pure joy to us since. He made a way!

Thank you for your testimony, I've got 2 boys and just found out that my Paragard IUD just up and quit on me😨 My husband is excited, i am not and its so much more to my *not* than simply being unplanned ...I had plans of getting back out in the work force and proving something to myself!....but anyway, all that to say thank you for sharing your experience!

God actually used the story of Mary to encourage me! I found out I was expecting in July, and I was depressed. Not only is the father abusive, but I’m already a single mom who escaped abuse with my first. I was already struggling, and now, a second. Man… I am in a safe place in a women’s shelter, but I battle with the disappointment of my poor decision-making, sin, and handling two alone. Hod provides though! I’m just nervous. Thank you for the encouragement!

I had my 1st son at 16 unexpectedly & I had thought about abortion at the moment I found out but then I just knew that I had to have this baby. It was really hard to finish school & move on. I went through a bad depression bcuz I was not a Christian even though I grew up in church. But at 19 my Godmother opened her doors to me & she was an ordained minister who brought me to the Lord. She also helped me get on my feet. I eventually joined the military, got married again & have to 2 teenagers now. It's been bumpy but I'm telling you that God has definitely provided & helped me through it all. And now my oldest son is 29 & has a daughter of his own who looks just like me 😊. Your story isn't over it's just a new chapter & one day you're going to look back & see all that God's brought you through to encourage another woman on her road with Jesus. I pray that God opens amazing doors for you as He has for me & my other single mom friends who've had to run from abusive men in Jesus name ❤

@@annikaminina7670, We are ALL sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God. The woman in this original comment has even acknowledged that she knows she was in sin. She needs prayer-we all do-not for you to point out her shortcomings. Please read John 7:53-8:11. I’m praying for God to help you challenge and examine the part of yourself that felt the need to make such a comment to someone who is being vulnerable.

Thank you - this blessed me. Not pregnant, but I have definitely faced an unexpected situation that rocked me to the core. It was a 2-year storm but God gave me his grace and sweet presence and he held me up, even during times when my faith was very weak. Lord, may it be done unto me according to your will.

This is such a timely message! We may not say this often but when we are pregnant with seasons we did not anticipate, we often want to abort that season instead of leaning into how God is using the “unexpected pregnancy” to reveal His glory. Being in covenant (marriage in your case) doesn’t always mean we are protected from the unexpected. May we be open to seeing God causing all things to work together for our good! You didn’t have to share this, but thank you for vulnerability Alyssa ❤

Because if your being careful enough or just not planning to have a baby then it can be shocking. Some people get pregnant even while birth control or using other forms of protection. So it can come as a shock.

There are methods and tools people use to avoid pregnancy. They are often quite effective. So it can be a shock when they are not.

I used the “withdrawal method” with my husband for 4 years and nothing else and we were perfectly fine so I truly don’t understand either. 😂

Wow, I was just thinking of that exact response of Mary's earlier this am! I recently became really sick and could use prayer (I don't usually get sick to this kind of extreme). I'm also dealing with discouragement-had felt like I had a huge breakthrough with the Lord in June/early July, but then ever since then has been very difficult. I've also been praying for the Lord to deliver me from a painful job situation for years. Oh Lord, let Your perfect will be done in my life. Help me to trust in You more and to always obey You. Praying for you as well ❤ It is *not* God’s will for you to be sick or discouraged because He provided everything we need (healing, joy, etc) through Jesus.
