Video is a hobby for me and so far a 3070 has been good for me in resolve. For motherboard I went with the z790 Aero G + 13700k since I'm using sfp+ for my 10GB networking so I didn't need the onboard with the pro art. That said it's a solid board and that is a beastly PC! I also have the older 1440p QV pro art. I'd love to see an update to that monitor with a KVM, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.

Last november I finally built my own custom editing workstation PC and man... It was game changer. We are spending so much time working on PC so it has to be strong and stable and also pleasing to use (recently got the Mx Mechanical Mini and MX master 3S and that was a serius upgrade).

Hello! Am I able to smoothly edit Canon R5C camera files, specifically 8K RAW, in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve on Mac Studio M2 Max?

The MacBook Pro 16" with the 24 core GPU and 32GB of RAM is my editing machine. It has been doing great for my editing needs. I usually record my talking head videos with the Nikon Z6II out to the Ninja V for 10 bit 422 color and record in H.265 HQ, ho issues with these files. I archive my projects to an external drive once completed, to free up drive space.

So here's something interesting to consider There's this old, now no longer in production stuff called Intel Optane They're extremely expensive, even at their current costs per Gb, they come in multiple form factors but the biggest you can get in m.2 that I'm aware of without an adapter is 118gb(currently $65/each on sale on Newegg right now) These things run for $300/each normally The big thing with these is supposedly they're virtually unlimited re-writing potential without killing the drive, so if you look at say a Firecuda 530 that drive is advertised as 1275 TBW for the 500Gb version 2x of these combined into a single drive with Computer Management (236Gb) might just make the absolute ultimate creator's scratch drive for video recording and editing without destroying an expensive m.2 over time

When I saw them for I think $75 I grabbed a couple, saw they dropped again to $60 so I grabbed a couple more. Still havent decided where to use them (my main PC or my NAS) but I thought about using them as a scratch drive as well.

@@nadtz I have 4x of them filling every single extra slot in my rig, and have them in Soft Raid. 4x in soft rait = 300 RND4K Q1T1 read speeds, 14µs response time, absolutely nuts When I need more storage down the road, I intend to pop them in a SABRENT 4-Drive NVMe M.2 SSD card Most likely going to be going for Solidigm drives next, they're the lowest response time m.2 drives on the market I've found -- the people who used to work on Optane are producing them since Intel cut ties with them

Hi Jason. I am about to build pc with similar spec. One question with the ram, is it stable with all 4 stick 4x32gb. I watched many reviews said they had problems of unstability with 4 stick of ddr5. I should buy the same ram as yours if its stable. Pls share your experience. Thank you so much.

It's not stable yet. This is why they don't even sell Quad Sets of DDR5 yet. Just get the best 64gb 32x2 set you can afford at this time. In order to run 4 you have to drop down the performance so much that the 128GB is the same if not slower than the 64GB sets. That's a huge waste of money which is why no one with experience building is recommending it.

Hard drive stash is cringe, crazy how many people end up doing it like this. I recommend getting something with zfs and a multi gigabit switch to connect them both.

We sell them on our Workstation system where the iGPU in the K SKU benefits the user. For gamers the savings on the KF are what we go for. If you request a K SKU we are more than happy to fulfil your custom build. "Your rig, Your Choice" as we say : )

NOt creating any more free content for strangers I'll never meet and who never even say hi. The majority of people watch videos at 144p or 240p on their smart phones... because bandwidth caps. I watch all of KZbin at 144p on the desktop... because... bandwidth caps. f you create or upload at any higher than 1080p.. the typical resolution of an office / desktop PC.. you're just wasting your time processing more overhead for no reason.
