Why do ya'll girls of colour think you can just choose whether or not someone has curly hair. No one knows her hair better than herself, so stop commenting she doesn't have curly hair. Research what curly hair is. Curly hair doesn't not require you to have tight ringlets. There are so many different types of curls. Not all curls look like yours, so stop thinking ya'll are the only races with curly hair. (Btw I ain't white so don't come at me with that racism crap). Her hair IS curly/wavy and it's beautiful

Anesthetic Ethan Anesthetic Ethan her hair is a wavey that is a type of curly. There is a wavey that is a type of straight hair, and a wavey that is a type of curly. Her hair is curly, more specifically wavey. Still curly. Her curls are more of 's' shapes, not very tight, but are still curls. There is not one type of curl

Clearly you are racist, as most black people dont care for white people talking about hair. If you havent noticed, most black people stick to videos that relate to their hair. Next time you comment look at the real thing not the medias representation of black people calling everybody racist when its not needed.

when i was seven years old my teacher embarassed me in front of my whole class by saying that my hair was super messy dry and tangled and i should cut it off... she talked about that for five minutes in her loud scary voice while the whole class was just silently staring... she scared the living shit out of me, and since then my classmates used to tell me the same things, because if our teacher said it it was okay for them to say it too. what a lovely childhood. that haunted me for years and made me grow up insecure and wanting my hair to be straight like my friends' hair. good thing I learned how to embrace my natural texture by watching youtubers like you

most of my friends didn’t know i had curly hair, because i always braided it. i also grew up with people with straight hair, so i never knew how to take care of it. but once, my hair was wet in the morning so i couldn’t braid it and i had to go to school with my hair curly. my ela teacher pulled me aside at the end of class and she told me that my hair looked beautiful. she said she had a niece with hair type and she said that if i’d let her, she’d help me with hair. my mom let me, so i stayed after and she did my hair and it looked amazing. so now i let my hair down :)

Throughout my childhood my hair was a battle. One day it was straight then it was curly. In middle school I straightened my hair because I felt like people hated it. Like India, people complimented me only when I had straight hair. The other girls in my grade had thin and straight hair (kinda gross if you ask me) since middle school I've learned to love my curls. Love you India!

when i was little i had long straight shiny hair i loved it but when i went through puberty it ws so so crazy it just changed from stright to plain frizz. i remember straightening it all through middle school every single day till my mum told me to stop i had fights with her about this stuff but eventually she confiscated the hair straightener. so i had no choice but to deal with my hair i hated my hair. i used to constantly put it in a bun because of how frizzy it used to be till one day i went to sleep with my hair wet in a high pony tail with no blowdryer or anything and in the morning my curls were defined ringlets and downright gorgeous when i went into high school i started to appreciate my hair more and when i found your channel and watched some of your videos which helped so so much! now i wear my hair natural every day. thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks they worked so well!!

Hi India! My story is pretty similar to yours. I had been straightening my hair since forever, but last year I decided to stop doing it. When I stopped straightening my hair, it was like super messy and I didn't like it but now it's similar to your hair and I'm starting to love the way my hair is. A funny thing that happened when I stopped straightening my hair was that my family started to ask me: "Hey, what did you do to your hair?" because they had forgotten how my naturally hair was!!! haha great video, hope you can read this. I'm from Chile, by the way. :)

when i was younger i had loose wavy hair until i got to high school and then as each year progressed, my waves got tighter but i had no idea what to do with it, plus living in the South, my hair stayed frizzy 24/7 so i braided and straightened my hair a lot. my senior year i finally decided to invest into some hair products that would help after i watched some of your videos and as the year went on my hair kept getting curlier and i stopped using heat for the most part. now as a freshman in college, my hair is almost exactly like yours except a tad curlier and a bit shorter. Honestly i wouldnt want my hair any other way.

You were such a cute kid! My hair is very different from yours (3c) and it was my husband who encouraged me to stop straightening it. He has very straight hair but he found the idea of a flat iron just horrifying and freaky lol (he had never seen such a thing before since everyone in his family and most of the women he dated had bone straight hair like him). Not to mention it took forever. Congratulations on your academic achievements! I am happy that you embraced yourself. I’m 27 and I’m determined to finally (finally!!) embrace my natural wavy/curly hair in the new year.. I’ve spent so many years trying to change the texture.. straightening it every day with a straightener and using no heat by brushing the curls out so much that it looked straight, then throwing it up in a messy bun. I never really knew how to where my hair wavy and down without looking like a founding father lol.. I had a similar experience when I straightened my hair for the first time in middle school. I got such a positive reaction from friends and family members that I believed this was how I was suppose to wear my hair. Ever since then I have always believed that straight hair was what looked best with my face. I’m ready to change that and embrace what I have naturally. I’m really excited to watch and learn your tips and tricks to curly/wavy hair. So happy I found your channel! Subscribed!

I'm currently in the middle of my hair journey right now. I'm in highschool and simarlily to you, I straighted my hair that I thought was just frizzy to fit in. Last year, I started wearing my hair natural. It was frizzy and sort of wavy because I was still using harsh chemicals and straightening it every so often. I can't quite remember how I started watching youtube videos, but ever since then I have been caring for my hair so much more. I now am on the curly girl method but I'm still experimenting with products. My hair is 2b/2c. Thank you for posting such great videos it's hard to find youtube videos for wavy girls!

I had ringlets as a toddler through to a young kid (I love looking back at how amazing they were haha) and then went through the stage of trying lots of things out with my hair and it was a fluffy mess most of the time so I often straightened it, always getting compliments on it when straight as well so I thought curly hair was bad. But with having a Mum as a hairdresser with curly hair it definitely made things easier because I could try lots of products. Only a couple of years ago I discovered sea salt spray to control and define my curls and I have been using it ever since. I now love my curly hair 95% of the time! Ps I really enjoy your channel! You are what really made my hair journey happen and I know I wouldn't be where I am with my hair and overall confidence without you. Some people see having confidence in your hair as such a little thing, but it proved to me that I could love who I was, curly hair and all. In this video you mentioned that there are hardly any blonde youtubers who have naturally wavy or curly hair, and when I found your channel I was ecstatic. Finally I found someone who I could relate to and learn from. I used to straight my hair every single day, just like you i don't know why but it made me feel confident and everyone told me that i looked better with straight hair. But at the end of last year i realized that i actually looked better with my curls and i started using my hair curly. Your hair is absolutely stunning, i love it!

Omg my story is so similar to yours! In seventh grade (last year) I began to notice my hair was becoming really curly and I had no idea what do with it. I couldn't wear it down because it looked like a frizzy mess so I would either straighten it or wear my hair in a ponytail almost everyday. This year I've started to wear my hair down more often and I've found cute hairstyles that actually work for my hair! I'm so happy you're on KZbin! You're videos are very helpful and it's so nice to see someone who is so real and genuinely cares about her supporters! Love you so much!💖 Keep doing what you're doing.

Then I learned to embrace my natural hair (very similar to yours except dark. Your videos helped me so much. I have been loving my hair lately and get TONS of compliments. When I tell people i used to straighten it, I always get "WHY!!!" Thanks for your helpful videos

I never comment on youtube videos...and trust me, I watch enough of them...but I just wanted to say thank you for posting all the hair videos that you do!! I have naturally curly hair that is bleached, damaged, and broken from heat/chemical damage, and my biggest goal is to embrace my natural texture so that my hair can finally grow without snapping off at the ends! I know it may seem trivial, but my hair is such a big part of (or hindrance to) my confidence, and I really just wanted to stress what an inspiration you are for those with a similar hair type/similar hair struggles. You just gained a subscriber! Thank you!!!

My hair is very similar to yours. When I was little I had straight/wavy hair. When I started to get older it’s starting to get curlier. When I treat my hair like a curly head then it curls and it maintains a beautiful curl (without heat). Sometimes I have curly hair, sometimes wavy, then sometimes wavy/straight. I’m so confused and I don’t know what what to do with my hair. Please help. My hair texture is so confusing. Please help. What products should I use? What process do I need to do?

Thank you for all of your videos! I am Hispanic and all of the other people around me don’t have the kind of hair that I have. Then I stumbled across your channel. My hair is like yours with the waves and I am looking forward to going back to natural hair. I used to do the same thing you did all throughout middle school and high school flat ironing my hair everyday. Super bad lol I have been wanting to learn to embrace my hair and I used to hate it because people would tell me I look messy with my waves. But now I don’t care what people think and I want to love my hair again. I am just at the start of my hair journey and will continue with it until my hair bounces back to its original form. Thank you for all of your videos I have learned a ton!

My hair is naturally curly (3a/3b) and when I was younger, I had no idea at all how to manage it. Neither did my Mom or Sister since my mom had straight hair and my sister still straightens her natural hair until this day. It wasn't even a year ago until I started taking care of my natural hair. I have never really used too much heat, I would just put my hair up in buns or brush out the curls (I know yikes) and just braid it/sometimes straighten it. Sometimes I wore my curls brushed out and my hair was just this big frizz ball. I also used products that were horrible for my hair that had sulfates, silicones, parabens, etc. Also, I felt sometimes in elementary/middle school certain people would make fun of my hair. Now, I have finally come to realize how to properly take care of and cut my curls, so I can embrace my natural self!

Whoa girl, you've been missing for a while! I too have a similar hair story as yours but I am a little older than you. I began to embrace my wavy curls after I delivered my baby boy. In India too, the idea of beauty is straight long silky hair and now that I am out as "the curly and the curvy girl" and since I am a Life Coach and Counselor, I too have begun to receive a lot of positive response from people and many women have begun to embrace their curly hair along with me. So my hair is still transitioning to being 100% loose spiral curls with just the tail end of permanent straightening that I used to do for my bangs for many years. Thank you India, for inspiring this curly sister, here in India!

I think this is beautiful! Thank you so much! I have been following you for about a year now I think, but it wasn’t until this summer that I really started researching and trying new products! I’m going to be a sophomore in college in a few weeks now and it’s sad it’s taken me this long to realize but truly I’ve been on a whole hair restoration and realization journey in the past year because I dyed my hair blue last summer then tried to take it out and by accidentally lightened my naturally gold blonde hair and so I’ve really been working on restoring it and bringing out my natural 2B texture! So thank you! I also admire you openly talking about your faith in bits! It’s encouraging! And your Spanish speech at your wedding was phenomenal so I have really admired that because I’m learning Spanish currently to become fluent! As well my boyfriend is Caucasian and blonde but with 3C natural hair and he never knew what to do with it and let it mat into dreads so I’ve been helping him embrace and take care of his hair as well as a result! :))

I had very thick, very long black hair. My parents wouldn't let me cut it. It was so long I could sit on it. When I turned 13 I started to experience migraine headaches. They were unbearable at times. My mum took me to the docs and he said straight away. It's your daughter's hair that's causing the problem. So with a heavy heart my mum allowed me to cut 18 inches! No joke off my hair. It was cut to just below my shoulder blades. After my cut I went for a shower and washed my hair. Came out and wrapped a towel round it. After about 30 mins I took the towel off and bang! All these curls!!! Where the hell did those come from? Totally confused! It was like I had went for a perm! I realised then that this was my natural hair and my hair pattern. It took me over 20 years to get to the stage where I can style my hair with confidence and I am very very proud to be a curly girl! I do not straighten my hair. My curls are part of my personality and I always embrace them and encourage girls to do the same. Rock those curls!!!!

My hair story has been very similar to yours! When I was little my mom said my hair was always "just wavy enough to look messed up," so she would always blow dry my hair straight, but I grew up in humid Charleston, SC, so the weather never really agreed with my straightened waves. Around middle school, my hair had started forming ringlets and I also remember straightening my bangs (must have been the style!). I straightened my hair almost always in early high school, and around my senior year I learned to start embracing my natural waves/curls. Still figuring it out here in college, but learning to love my curls! Thanks for all of your amazing wavy/curly hair videos

India, literally had the same experience as you, straightened my hair everyday through middle school and high school. I tried a couple times to wear my hair naturally but because of the damage and shampoos I was using, I would just get weird straight pieces and some that were curled at the end (was not cute..) so I stopped. My best friend was actually the one who encouraged me to start wearing it naturally when she discovered it one day. We were just hiking in the cold Rain and the wind was whipping my hair (I live in Washington) and my head turned into a mass of curls. Anyways just wanted to share to let you know you’re not the only one and you’ve been such an inspiration to me not only with your curly hair videos but also your Christians ones. You just described my entire life- my hair changed in 5th or 6th grade and I had no idea what to do with it so I just brushed it like normal and it looked frizzy and broken and then in middle school I straightened it. Every. Single. Day. But I got sick of doing that so I tried to embrace it but I struggled because I still didn't know what to do! And whenever I tried to search something up to help the only thing that would come up was ethnic hair and ethnic hair products and I felt like those products aren't for me so I just accepted that no one else had hair like me and no one else knows what it's like but I found your youtube channel and oh my gosh I swear it's going to change my life

For most of my life I completely didn't realize my hair was curly. I brushed it every day and washed it more often than I needed to. If someone asked me what kind of hair I had I would say "puffy" or "wavy", but around 7th or 8th grade, I started noticing these 3B curls in my hair and I was kind of shocked. I started brushing my hair less and it was working much better. Now I've been looking for a good curly hair routine and your channel has given me that!! Thanks so much!!

I used to have very long and thick, straight hair. Except for this one spot on the back of my head where it was curly, very strange. Anyway I stopped coloring it for the past 10 years. I never blow dried it or used any heating device on it and no peoduct. Before I did this my hair would get tangled in the shower and I'd always have a nightmare combing it out. Once I stopped using anything but shampoo and conditioner on it and no heat. It got so healthy, I would shower with waist length ,thick hair and be able to easily finger comb it in the shower. I had never been happier with it. Then in September I got ill, critically ill. I was placed into a medically induced coma. Obviously waking up after 2 weeks in a coma and no memory of up to 2 weeks before I got sick was terrifying. Once I could sit up and move more as the days went on I remember thinking my hair must be a mess. What I felt was the tiniest bun that could ever be. One of the nurses in the ICU came and used this blow up tub thing to wash my hair for me.she was so lovely as most of all my ICU nurses where. At this point I still can't move very much, I couldn't talk, or walk, eat or drink. She commented on the length of my hair and for some reason in my foggy mind I thought it must be fine, maybe I dreamed that tiny bun. Anyway she finished up and towel dried my hair and put it in a ponytail. After she left I felt my hair, yeah it was long still but 85-90% gone. Maybe me worrying about my hair after being in a coma sounds trivial but for me it wasn't. Anyway I was horrified and started crying. I guess when you are in a coma and your body was as sick as min was, your system concentrates on your major organs so things like nails, skin and hair don't receive the proper nutrients. So in turn my hair fell out. When I finally got home I cut my long but incredibly skinny ponytail off. I were my hair up because It does not look down. At first you could see a lot of my scalp but I'm happy to say I have what I call, little sprouts everywear. They are a couple inches and stick up everywhere but at least it's growing again. Anyway I think I shared this story more for me to get it out off my chest then anything else. Thank you to whoever reads this of maybe no one will as this post is 3 years old.
