My Waxleaf Privet!

I have three of these. I trim them to be square. They’ve always been so hardy and perfect for where I planted them.

I have a wax leaf privet topiary with three distinct stacked spheres. The top most sphere died and im left with barren branches. I’ve cut back the dead swigs, is there any hope of reviving the top portion of my topiary?

Mine is been turning sad. Like wilted and the leaves are down. The day seems hot and I added water. It’s potted btw. Any suggestions?
