Good work fixing/improving your welding machine (a tool too big for your back pocket!). Noticed you deviated from one of the rules of manhood. That is, you read the instructions instead of just tossing them straight into the fire barrel! To that I say, "Good Job!" I'm one that also reads those instructions most of the time. I like your videos even though I'm not a welder (electrician). I especially like your work and life attitude. Your upbeatness is always there in your smiles. Good work, keep it up, and God bless!

I'm no pipeline welder, my background is actually an electrical background but I'm a industrial maintenance man and I just do the occasional welding here and there but this man's videos are just absolutely a joy to watch whether or not you are a pipeline welder or not. The worls needs more skilled workers. Thanks for the videos brother!

if you unhook the ground cable from the battery or from the frame of the welder, you wont have to worry about sparking the positive battery cable off any of the metal parts. im sure you followed the directions, but for future stuff its generally always safer to unhook your ground cable. just always make sure its the cable coming from your battery. great videos and great attitude man!

Austin I have a question regarding my machine. I have my machine bolted down on the bed of my truck, if I need to tack something to my truck do I need to disconnect the ground of the battery of my truck? And is it safe to weld it with my machine? Or would I have to use someone else’s machine, and disconnect the battery from my truck and machine? I ask because sometimes I see videos of rig welders welding on a roll out wheel And it’s off the hitch of their trucks with the same machine they have on the back of their truck .. I just haven’t found anyone with welding Chanel’s talk about that. Idk if it could mess up the machine due to the polarity that’s running through it. Hope I make sense.. Thank you.

Does welding long hours on the line take getting used to on your body? Say you were laid off 4 months you come back to work are you going to be hurting for a month or two getting back used to it or is it pretty light on the body?
@arosswelding6 жыл бұрын
It absolutely can and most likely will be taxing on the body. But like anything else. The more you do it, your body gets used to it.

They are flexible. So it’s easier to to maintenance and work on.
@user-mt9tn1ni4g5 жыл бұрын
At five minutes in the video he shuts the welding machine off. And I'm not trying to be sarcastic or judgemental but.. that are mature in that machine is so huge . I saw in a previous video where this guy says he's just running stick and he's mostly running downhill.. that said you can hear the bearing.. IDK I could go on and on but yeah you don't need that big ass machine to weld downhill with stick.. a300 amp Miller Trailblazer would do the job no problem.. I don't want to get into it but yeah .. that machines over 1 ton dry.. karting that around every day to do a little bit of 1/8 stick welding???
