Hey thanks Ish! I have plans to do a bunch to the Camaro this winter so there's definitely more fbody project content in the queue. Then come racing season you will see plenty of action from out at Brian's track 😉 Thanks for the sub bud!

Finally found someone with this wheels on an fbody. I'm going with 19x10.5 +35mm bro. It looks gorgeous bro big ups to ya for selecting these. Looks like the fikse wheels better cheaper and looks killer
@DadModsMedia Жыл бұрын
That should look awesome! Sometimes I wish I went with 19s because they look great on a lowered fbody but 18s provided the right options for competition tires.
@macaroni6293 Жыл бұрын
@Dad Mods either way 19 or 18 it looks nice on your car bro if you look up fikse fm5 rims it's like the same but more expensive. I'm going to gamble with the 19x10.5 +35mm, what's your thoughts think it'll clear for me?
@DadModsMedia Жыл бұрын
@@macaroni6293 yeah the FM5 wheels were part of the inspiration for going with these. I've always loved the simplicity of a concave thick 5 spoke and I love how they look on the Fbody cars! On the topic of fitment: a 10.5 et35 and 9.5 et22 will actually have the same amount of outer (face of wheel side) clearance but on the inside you will have 26mm less. I haven't measured clearance on the inside so I can't speak to specifically whether that would fit or not. I'm thinking ride height may play a role as well for clearance to suspension/steering components. I would suggest plugging in the specs of your current wheels vs the Kansei wheels into an offset calculator then climb under the car and do some measuring. Try this out: www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator#

@DadModsMedia Жыл бұрын
Ooh you got some MEATS bud! Nice. Our 4th gens have plastic front fenders so there's no rolling there, only trimming but the rear can definitely be rolled. It's worth a try if you think it will clear, just be careful not to wrinkle the panel by rolling too much. Or plan to do some body work if you want to really pull those lips out.
@JairoIronSS Жыл бұрын
@@DadModsMedia hey man just saw you replied! Thanks for the reply! Yes I’m going to roll the rear fenders I’ve seen on the good ol’ forums that rolling rears will definitely clear and tuck nicely meaty tires like that. And for the front I totally forgot we have plastic fenders lol

My car needs new suspension. I also want to lower it as well. Are you going to do a build series on this? Also would you mind sending me the full information on these wheels and tires. They fit your car perfectly! I like the lip and the poke.
@DadModsMedia2 жыл бұрын
Oh nice, if you lower it you have some issues with exhaust ground clearance like mine. It's awful, I scrape constantly. It's got me pondering air suspension, like on my 1950 Ford. Haha But yeah man, I definitely plan to have an on-going build series for this car. As for the Kansei wheels, just check the description of the video for all the specs! But if you have further questions definitely get in touch.

Do you think I’d be alright street driving these wheels without rolling fenders? I don’t really auto cross etc. the car is lowered an 1 1/4. I’d pretty much have a 275 squared setup.

If you look straight at your rear wheels from the side, are you seeing any gap between the fender and tire? If you aren't doing a whole lot of spirited driving you may be alright.

Hey man, sorry for the delayed response. I am a bit of a wheel whore so I've been down this road a lot. I find the best method is to physically measure after running all the data through a wheel offset calculator. www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator

i’m looking at these other wheels but they are 18x9.5 +35. will they fit the same like your wheel?
@DadModsMedia Жыл бұрын
So the wheels I have installed are 18x9.5 et22, this means an et35 will sit 13mm inboard. You will have more fender lip clearance and less risk of rubbing BUT there's a chance you may have tighter clearances on the inside. I'm going to give you 2 of my favorite resources for determing fitment: Factory wheel spec guide: www.wheel-size.com/size/chevrolet/camaro/1999/ Wheel offset calculator: www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator Between these two guides I'm able to get a pretty damn accurate idea of what will and won't fit a car. I've used this countless times. For reference, a 4th gen SS uses a 17x9 et 50, so that wheel is sitting much more inboard than my wheel specs and obviously fits perfect from the manufacturer. I think it's safe to say the et35 wheels will fit great and provide adequate clearances.
@FocusMerks2 жыл бұрын
Yoo so i realized that the wheels you have look like a good alternative to to the Forgeline fcc3 concave wheels I've been trying to get but they are so far out of my reach right now!!😭😭
@DadModsMedia2 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, precisely right! I fell in love with the Forgelines but can't justify the cost considering how hard I drive the car. So the Kansei KNP is a perfect solution. You will love the fit if your taste is a tiny bit of poke. 🤘

For a 2002 trans am here. How do you think a 18x9. Et 31 would fit in the front? Do you think the rim would still out past the fender?
@DadModsMedia2 жыл бұрын
I bet that wheel would fit really well. Here's a helpful took that I use any time I'm looking for new wheels for a car: www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator# Reading up on other's experiences, it seems a lot of people consider 9.5 wide wheels with an offset of ET38 to be the perfect "tucked" fitment where the wheels don't extend out but give a clean side body line. And if I use that tool it tells me that the wheel you are looking at will only extend outwards 1mm beyond the 9.5/et38 wheel. You will also gain 15mm of space on the inside. One other factor, that I'm not able to speak to is the differences between a Camaro body and the T/A. But if I had to guess I would think it would be fine.
