I live in Estonia which is next to Finland and I can vouch that this birch cup is a great find! Very popular tourist item AND people buy it for hiking because a normal cup could break. It goes about 20-25 euros a piece, so that's 23-29 dollars. Very popular in Norway and Sweden too..

Wedgewood always sells really well for me. It's a well known brand in Britain and has been making pottery for a long time. Some pieces are worth a lot.
@stephenbeard9444 жыл бұрын
I was excited to see all those models. Ever since I bought a storage unit with dozens of 80's and 90's model kits I love them. If a model was worth over $20+shipping on ebay I would check to make sure it has all the pieces. It only takes about 10 minutes to compare the pieces with the instruction sheets so it was worth it to me. Even if a model is missing a piece or two I included a picture of the instructions showing exactly which piece was missing and they had no problem selling and getting good feedback. One last note, if there are models with a lot of pieces missing or broken don't throw out the model kit...put all those pieces together from several different kits and call it a "junkyard lot"...you'll be surprised how much people will pay and how quickly they will go.

My wife and I recently bought a toy at a rummage sale based on using the Ebay app scanner. All I found was sold comps from Australia. So we bought it for like $2 to $3 bucks. When we got it home my wife searched for the item manually and found comps that were selling and sold from the US. Bottom line, don't put all your trust into scanning an item, search for the item manually as well to get accurate comps.

Greetings from Finland! 10:54 i wonder how that kuksa ended up in there 😀 Guksi (or Finnish: kuksa; Swedish: kåsa) is a type of drinking cup traditionally duodji crafted by the Sami people of northern Scandinavia from carved birch burl. Originally guksi, or kuksa, were widely used in Arctic areas as a personal drinking cup; a well-made guksi would last a lifetime. -wikipedia

But this video is 2020 and it's 2022 now so I imagine it's long gone, one way or the other! The frame was probably the Made in China part.

Years ago, I bought a dozen or more ship and airplane models at a thrift store. They all sold for good money on Ebay, some more than others, of course. Fast forward quite a few years...now that my son is in the military (USAF), I have a better understanding of their appeal. In an AF moms support group, I recently posted photos of my son running his RC truck in the snow at the base where he was attending tech school. He'd already graduated tech school but, like so many other airmen, was awaiting orders to go overseas for his first duty station. (Pandemic has caused delays.) I invited the other moms to share about the hobbies that were helping their airmen get through quarantine and/or the waiting game to go overseas. A couple of them said their son was assembling military model kits. I think a lot of veterans also enjoy (and deserve) having these mementos of their glory days.
