I was told the same by a shop manager once and explained that some of the volenteers might be working there to get away from violent partners etc and wont want to be advertised that they are working at that location .. when this was explained to me I fully got it , so deffo well done for honouring their wishes

I 100% agree with the manger of the charity shop. The first thing she rightly did was speak to you, the 2nd thing they should have done is get rid of the person who complained because of the enormous damage their actions have done to St Micheal's hospice. The only reason thousands of people know this charity exists is you Ricky, even if you ignore the amount of money a business would need to spend to reach that amount of people, they would have had great many visitors just because of your content. If your a charity worker or supporter, when your actions hurt that charity they should have a moment of reflection to see if the reasons for acting that way have the best intentions or another more base reason is present. Glad your still going to support St Micheal's though but sad for all the people who will never know about them, never visit or support the charity because of this.

I work in a charity shop , and we don't mind camera usage , so long as we are not filmed full on . I understand the ladies' concern, but you never know if you show them your videos and they see what little you film they may change their minds .

How are you making money off the charity shop stock. So you sell it for a profit, so what. The charity shop sets the price and gets the price that they want for the item, when you purchase the item it then belongs to you, to do with what you want. Most charity shops close to me, now, research the price and set them as the same price as E-Bay.

I visited this shop on the back of the videos and things you find there. Obviously you must have already been in….😂 It’s a shame, I loved the videos and the banter, you never filmed the staff but your approach to their request is the correct approach, it is their right. As to the jealousy of the person reporting you, well… that’s another issue. Why do people have to involve themselves? The “oh, it’s not a proper job” lot should try doing what you do. I’ve bought and sold a few items and it really isn’t easy, it’s work like anything else and the thought of getting stuck with items that I can’t sell is just a part of the issue.
