Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

Lol this was like my entire childhood, my dad spent like 30 years renovating the house I grew up in, piece by piece, for a while the bathroom didn’t have a floor, then the living room had no walls, then there was no kitchen, etc. etc… finally when everything was finished and the house was gorgeous (original 19th century post and beam structure showing, beautiful reclaimed hardwood floors, soapstone countertops, big white porcelain farmhouse sink, etc.) …he sold it

Every woman is different. These are the things my husband never hears me say as we work on our 101 year old home. I hate open concept. I don't believe in grey walls. Shiplap walls were meant to be covered by plaster originally. So many nopes here for me. It was the fact that it's so opposite that made it extra hilarious, though. :D I love your humorous impersonations! Needs more, "Let's make sure all the trim is matching craftsman style." My wife isn't this engaged during. It's usually "do you even know how to do that?!", "You don't do that stuff", "I'll just call someone to come do it". Then after I'm done and everything not only meets state building specs, but we end up getting compliments from people about my work, I usually end up getting the follow on of "hey, let's look at doing......." 😡
