@@IC-23 that would essentially kill the deck's identity of interacting with monsters as continuous spells, since Poplar is also now at 1. You'd have only the normal spell to put monsters in the backrow and the field spell to bring them out, and unless you open OSS you'd NEVER search the normal spell. While it is cool that Snash searches non-SE targets and makes for cool synergies with other archetypes, they were never really better than pure SE (except maybe on MD, where there have already been plenty of SE hits.) So it is better to have Snash be at 1, and you can see that's true and takes it off tier 0 status because of MD where the SE hits are just enough to make it and Yubel both tier 1. Arguably they didn't need to limit Poplar but better safe than sorry. Also remember they hit Prospy so literally every deck has taken a huge consistency hit.

Sanctifire was the OBJECTIVLY right choice to go to 0. This hit makes the deck more toxic to play against, rather than bringing it in line. Branded is strong because of the lock, not because of branded fusion. (Which doesnt mean its not a strong card, but you know . . .)

Don't worry, I'm sure, Konami is currently cooking up some groundbreaking new BA support. It will include Beatrice 2.0, who actually prefers being summoned by the own archetype over "literally anything that happens to make a Rank 6". Maybe they even get "The Burning Abyss of the Burning Abyss", a field spell that searches a BA monster. Plus the obligatory field spell searching Link 1.

@@justice8718 I don't quite get your point, spell cards used in branded lock you into fusion summoning, having an albaz tuner is quite pointless and the deck is designed around fusion summoning, outside albion lock the deck is extremely balanced and skillful. Generally speaking we got 2 tuners, cartesia and quem. There is also a branded trap card that allows you to synchro summon during your opponent turn. And last cartesia into dusk dragon, dusk dragon has the effect to summon any despia monster from the extra deck during your opponent turn after he special summons, so you summon a despia synchro monster named "luluwalilith" that has a negate as effect.

It doesn’t help that Fallen of Albaz has no real extender effects that encourages you to extend your fusion plays and is actually a huge detriment for it. People legit only use him to rub extra salt into the gimmick-puppet-lock wound. Despite alll of the shilling the supports given to “fallen of albaz”, BLUE-EYES WHITE DRAGON, a VANILLA!, is a much better extender than fallen of albaz, because you can synchro his bum off with any level 4 and level 1 tuners to put up decent/strong synchro monsters. It really doesn’t help that Bystial Aluber works far better as a “fallen of albaz” simply because he’s an overglorified vanilla with the Bystial title and tuner typing, making branded in white and Cartesia easier to set up, without any of the fusion-lock cards, and lead into another “fallen of albaz” fusion or synchro monster via Bystials Dis Petar. Do you know how stupid that is?

They're actually really good hits, pop and ash limit makes the snake eyes engine a lot more clunky while lacrima ban dramatically reduces what you can do with the FS engine. Also no apo around. SE might stay tier 1, but a lot of the more annoying aspects for it are removed.

It took like 10+ years for Battlin' Boxers to get some decent support despite being an anime deck and it still ain't even rogue tier Personally I don't mind appolousa gone for being 3-4 negates in 1 card but personally i feel Barrone and Savage didn't need to go. 1-2 similar cards in an endboard isn't that much of a problem to me especially when it's a deck you don't see often anymore.

I'd like to see the support be stronger when we DO get it, instead of things such as the lackluster Battlin Boxer support, as you said. I think Barrone and Borreload are also fantastic bans tbh. The issue is that they're so strong AND generic to the point where there's no incentive to run literally anything else. Forcing decks to decide on more situational cards instead of omni-negates is a step in the right direction imo.

Okay realistically they lose out on Apo as an endboard piece + snake-eye Fiendsmith can no longer go Beatrice to search a snake-eye ash. That version of the deck also won't autowin in time now. I'd say that snake-eye Fiendsmith specifically was hit the most out of any deck on here, but it's still very powerful.

Doesn't throne search that one beast which adds the continuous Spell anyway? Hitting throne would still be just as much of a consistency hit for sacred beast no?

Beatrice should’ve said she could be activated the turn she was xyz summoned by using a BA xyz as a quick effect, but if you hard make her, she's both only turn player effect and unactivatable on the turn she was xyz summoned. That would make her fair and usable in the archetype she was intended for. If fiendish hard makes her, they have to protect her for their and their opponent’s turn before being allowed any value off her. So turn 5 earliest before her material has a chance of being finished, making including her in the extra deck not worth it, but BA will be able to use her right away and on the opponent’s turn as well.
