Kanye is obviously a genius musically but i think his best gift is taking someone and they always have a phenomenal verse or hook with him. You can name most anyone he's worked with and they'll have one of their best verses on a Kanye song. He could probably get me to do something good and i can't sing or rap! TLoP is so polarzing i think. The highs are so high, all timers for me in the Kanye repertoire but the lows are there. Father Pt 1, Facts, 30 hours, Saint Pablo, Ultralight Beams, Waves and Wolves are some of my favorite songs of his.

Wow after so many listens to “No More Parties In LA” I finally put together this lyric: “I feel like Pablo when I’m working on my shoes, I feel like Pablo when I see me in the news, I feel like Pablo when I’m working on my house.” You touched on it during the beginning where this album takes us through three different parts of Kanye and he’s talking about them here! Picasso- Working on his shoes (his art) Escobar- Seeing himself on the news for something controversial Apostle Paul- He talks about in 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 about building your house (your life) on firm foundation, which is in Jesus Christ. And, in a literal sense, building your house for your family, whom you love which still makes sense because we are called to build a home for the ones we love, where peace and calm, comfort and love are found which are all attributes in Jesus Christ.

Also, can we acknowledge Kanye's influence in the fashion world and how much he really changed streetwear during the Pablo Era with his fashion and album/tour merch. "Somedays I'm in my Yeezys, some days I'm in my Vans," off No More Parties in LA, had everyone running to buy Vans back in 2016, especially when Ye was stepping out wearing them. Vans could not keep Old Skool Vans on shelves or in stock online.

On the The Life of Pablo Kanye has to choose which one, the life for family and God or the life of fame and sex and the album ends with him calling to God for a way out of the nightlife on Saint Pablo.
@nathanbrewer29002 ай бұрын
This is why personally I have a hard time getting into his last couple records, it's tough for me to hear someone reach a point in their life reaching out to a higher power (life of pablo, ye/kids see ghost to a lesser extent, jesus is king) to find a way through the darkness that surrounds him only for him to seemingly get sucked in even deeper with what he's said lately in the media and put into his albums, i dont know i could be looking at it wrong or reading into it too much but all his new stuff feels SO heavy in comparison to the heaviest tracks on those albums

this is the definitive kanye album for me, it captures all facets of his mind, the lows and the highs. also I think it's his best in terms of contemporary interesting production. those caroline shaw additions to the track are just amazing, think about how crazy even a track like pt 2 you go from the hype of Panda and Ye's new verse to those outro vocals which take on a completely different tone. the features are also prob his best too and are very much a statement piece, having both Frank ocean and kendrick on the same album and drake writing credits is a flex in itself capped off with that MSG listening party/yzy show. idk the whole era was iconic and for the time, coinciding with the start of the streaming era too and the various fixes to the album/social media interplay. it just all landed for how chaotic the rollout was

No more parties in LA was played on a popular rap radio station in LA for a full day straight when it came out. Still not tired of that song. Straight heat from both of them. It almost seemed like Kanye heard Kendrick’s verse and knew he had to step his own verse up.
