to give a more simplified way to explain snoww, i'll use the discard condition part as (a) and the discard by an opponent's effect condition as (b), the effect that add as (1) and the effect that special summon as (2). with a few exceptions, dark word monsters have a condition that is used when is discarded by a card effect (a) an effect that is associated by that discard (1), a condition if that discard effect was by an opponent's card effect (b) and an effect that is activated when it is discarded by an opponent's card effect (2). normally, those 2 conditions and effects are worded as (a) (1) (b) (2). i don't remember if there's another something like snoww, but on it's case is (a) (b) (1) (2). mystic mine could just say (the player that control more monsters than the opponent cannot activate monster effects or attack.)
