I also switched to the Cynergy 10.5. I love that tip size. Really makes you focus on your stroke. Make those rail shots so much easier.

That happened to me as well.. had to buy a new camera. Still have my busted up a6400 also.. good luck!

dang man it’s such a bad feeling. i’m now thinking about buying a separate cheaper (used) camera for filming my matches and not my main driver for work 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
@Amateur_Pool2 ай бұрын
@mikestuckey ya, that's why I use the 6400.. great quality for the matches and it's under 1k for the body.. i'd cry if I had a cinematic camera and it fell!

Sorry to hear about your camera. Usually when I go record my practice sessions I put a couple of tripod sandbags, but I realize taking those on a plane would not be feasible.
@mikestuckey2 ай бұрын
haha no…it’s a real challenge to get it right when you’re traveling. keeping it as simple as it can be!
@georgepotter35321 күн бұрын
He was in vegas. Could have gotten a couple hookers to hold the tripod. I'm thinking they would need no instruction :) Kidding. Hate it about the camera.

I have a feeling you hit that nine ball before the seven in the second rack. Hard to tell in real time but I don’t think it would’ve ended up that way had it not. Great shooting! Love the videos!

Sorry to hear about your camera, sir. Accidents do happen, but the guy should have been man enough to take responsibility and make you whole. On a more positive note, your stroke is looking amazing. I'm actually considering sitting out a session or two from league play and focusing on working with a local instructor to help with mine. I think if I can hone my fundamentals a bit, my game will take quite a leap forward, even if only in consistency.
@mikestuckey2 ай бұрын
yes yes yes I co-sign this! I too am still considering sitting out a session to truly dial in new habits! league can be bad for your stroke haha if you’re not focused and aware. thanks!

Anthony Beeler is an outstanding coach! I train with one of his student coaches since he’s a bit too far for me. Your stroke looked really, really good in that video. Lovely tempo, smooth delivery, nice finish to the felt. Anthony must be proud of the progress in your game. I’ve got to teach you the two rail banking system as it’s a must in 9-ball. Heartbreaking to hear about your camera ☹️
@mikestuckey2 ай бұрын
thanks for this! yep I booked anthony a few weeks before vegas and just as he said it would take a few weeks before what he taught would take hold and he was dead on. would love to learn your two rail system!
@cj-ef1rp2 ай бұрын
@@mikestuckeyinadvertently I posted the explanation in your match against the APA9 from 5 months ago. I had missed that video and it popped up right after this one. Anthony will teach you the same system (parallel shift) but you can become acquainted with it and practice it before you get to him next time.

Man I sat there at the top before I went down and had a serious pep talk with myself. In those moments I usually would just forget about it and NOT go with my gut or do more than what’s necessary. but I hyped myself up to set it up haha! totally worth the extra effort for the shot and for the story!
@KevinAndrewMan2 ай бұрын
You should look into adapting the end of a boom arm w/ clamp to hold your camera, then the only way it falls is if the table does. I also get the panics with long slight angle cuts into the side. You should check out Earl Strickland's latest tournaments where he's using a 40-ounce cue stick, he rockets those shots into 4-inch side pockets, shit doesn't even look real.
@mikestuckey2 ай бұрын
haha good ideas!
@cj-ef1rp2 ай бұрын
To remove that bent ring, you need to CAREFULLY cut the ring perpendicular to the threads with a dremel tool. Cut the ring into 2 or 3 sections. Then gently tap the cut section away (from center to outside) off the threads. You won’t unscrew it; but you can remove it. Then you can probably send the lens back to have the external threads repaired. If you can’t do it, or can’t find a local person to remove it, send it to me. I’ll get it off without damage.
@mikestuckey2 ай бұрын
i’m going to try this! hopefully it all goes the way you described!! thanks CJ!

9:25: Maybe send the 5-ball four or five rails and tuck the cue ball behind the 8. It's easier said than done, but it's worth practicing that type of shot!
@mikestuckey2 ай бұрын
this is a great shot idea now that I see it! thanks! was definitely thinking I could make it haha. but also I think my chances of making it were about the same as me being successful with the five rail safe. 🤷🏾♂️
@cj-ef1rp2 ай бұрын
Actually, hit the 5 in the face with a stop shot. 5 goes side rail, top rail, side rail, then towards bottom right corner. Just don’t hit it hard. Should leave the 5 nestled at bottom rail, cue stymied by 8. That’s a good eye from @don. Basically you’re hitting a kick and stick shot. Just moving the 5 around the table to cut off angles to it.
@fromdonwithlove2 ай бұрын
@@cj-ef1rp Yes. It’s possible to 3 rail bank and make the shot and play it as a two-way safety at the right speed. Good eye!

@@mikestuckey OMG a reply!!, thanks! Im a 6/5 in APA 8/9 so we could certainly spend hours of delicious pool matches together. I'm a new member and really like how they make it possible for a 2 to compete with a 7 in a pretty fair scenario. Played in a New Members tourney this weekend. Great time. A 2 was dominating the field. He's not really a 2, but he is VERY new, and is enjoying his APA honeymoon. I like your video on the LV experience. The adjacent table aiming system works of the tables are spaced correctly, I've tried it successfully. I can explain if requested but I'm already rambling.
