Myakka River State Park | Cabin Tour and River Boat Ride

This was our first time visiting Myakka River State Park. We decided to book a little weekend get away, and stayed overnight in the park at one of the 5 cabins. The cabins are equipped with 2 full size beds, and like we said, you might want to bring a few of your own pillows and blankets.
We booked the cabin for $85 for the one night, and booked it online at:
floridastateparks.reserveamer...
Because we were staying the night, we didn’t have to pay park admission, but it is typically $6 per car if you are going for the day. Check the weather before you head out, you don’t want to get caught in the rain like we did!
The boat tours run throughout the day, they also offer a Tram tour of the park aswell. The tour was $20 per person, and the times can be found here: www.floridastateparks.org/par...

There are several other state parks that have cabins, Silver Springs is nice, has lots to do nearby the campground.

Favorite alligator "joke": How do you tell how long an alligator is? Measure from the nose to the eyes in inches and convert that number to feet for the length of the gator. Apparently true, but who's going to test the theory?

Definitely! More roomy and a whole kitchen beats most hotels these days! The cabins do book up pretty far in advance, but if you are flexible on dates, you can snag a reservation!

We hope you have such a good time!! I don't believe there was any wifi from the park! We did get regular cell phone service, so we set up a Hotspot on our phone to use our lap top, but it was pretty slow 🐌 lol

We’ve tent camped there before but had absolutely no reception in our tents. Not even cell phone service. So I’m crossing my fingers I can have some in our cabin.

In our cabin there were two full size beds and a couch, but im not sure if it is a pull out! But if you brought a couple of air mattresses, there was plenty of space for everyone, even a full size dinner table! I believe all the cabins are the same, but you might call the park and see if they have one with more beds! I hope you go! We really enjoyed it!
