Hi Friends!
Are you ready for some MAJOR HOME ORGANIZATION?!?! Are you looking for some new home organizing ideas or some new home storage ideas? Do you need some organizing motivation? Hello Tidy Uppers! Friends, you would think after a month of decluttering and organizing series I would have my home just how I want it, Right?!? Well, that wasn’t the case. 😂 I did go back and do more decluttering and updated some of my organization! I am so happy with the small changes I made! I hope this video gives you lots of encouragement and lets you know that just doing a few small changes can make a world of difference in your home! This whole series has really helped me to look carefully at what I have and especially at my “maybe items.” That’s the hardest category for me but I have made a lot of progress and I have not bought any organizing items unless I had a specific place for it. Thank you for inspiring an organizational goal for me. And that is to have some empty spaces / shelves / drawers, etc. It just feels so good to have some breathing room in your space. I agree that after you do a big declutter and live with it for awhile it can help you to look at how you use your spaces. Having light bulb moments about making little changes that make HUGE differences that make sense feels great. I love it when I see a new set up and find out how much better it works. Congratulations on such a determined effort to get real and let go of so much stuff. Thanks for the ongoing inspiration. And I look forward to whatever new decor items you find for your office space. Interestingly enough, I normally am drawn to silver but lately am starting to be drawn to gold. At any rate, have a great weekend!

Hi there, Matt! If someone had told me years ago that I would enjoy having empty spaces and try to make current spaces vacant, I probably wouldn’t have believed them! There has been a gradual shift in me over the past couple of years, but I really will say that January really set my path! I really do enjoy having the breathing room as you say! Funny that you mentioned about your shift to gold ! I have always been someone who loved silver, silver decor, silver jewelry, etc., etc. But I too, have had a shift into the gold. I don’t want it to be real overdone, but I really am enjoying it! I think my fireplace screen in the den started my transformation! 😆 thank you so much for being here and I hope all is well with you and your family! Continued thoughts and prayers

DeDe, you hit on a couple things I always try to keep in mind lately: small changes, and it's all about convenience. Since I've been thinking this way, I've totally reorganized our home in the "best" way it's ever been. I mean, it's always been organized, but it wasn't always about convenience for some reason. I'm loving it! Love the glasses too, btw 🤓

I have been the same way, you would think convenience would be number one on the list, but for some reason I organize things that weren’t always convenient! I think I wanted things that were aesthetically pleasing and then I thought about convenience next. I definitely have flipped the switch! I think you can have both but the older I get the more convenient I want things!! 😆 thank you so much for watching and I have no doubt that your home is perfectly organized!

My dear Friend Dede, your house is a sanctuary, extremely organized and peaceful, every drawer and every cabinet is just perfectly accurate! My suggestion now is to start decluttering the need for too many cleaning products. As all the bottles takes up too much space and are a visual eye sore. Well you can save money too. As I’ve been doing for years, Trust me I used to be a cleaning product junk! But it is all marketing to get our money. You can pretty much clean every surface and every room besides wood. With isopropyl alcohol solution, I make it 70/30 ratio with water and a few drops of dawn dish soap. I’m so happy to use it, and when I make the solution I feel like a chemist! I use it all around the house I have two spray bottles one for the kitchen and adjacent areas and other exclusively for bathroom. My bottles are transparent and recycled. I’ve labeled them “multipurpose cleaner” in a white clean label, So no bright colorful cleaning bottles. They do this bright colors to capture our attention when shopping….anyway this solution don’t go on wooden furniture, for wood I would just dust with a dry cloth and damp cloth. Well it is just a suggestion not that you have to do it. But it is really life changing and so liberating to not have the need to buy new cleaners. I still have a small gallon of bleach, which I’ve removed the label so it is a white bottle and I use it occasionally for disinfection. Again all this rambling is just a suggestion. I have way too many cleaning products and I have decided that I will not purchase anymore until I use all that I have! I do believe you are correct, so much marketing goes into trying to convince us to buy certain products! I am sure your bottles look lovely and look very neutral in your home! HELLO DEDE!! I LOVE your ☕closet! If I have to move something like a curtain , it bugs me idk why but I'll think it's cute for awhile then I'm tired of moving something to get what I want. Your systems look great. You know if you keep getting empty space you may want to try tiny home living 🙃😆 AND BTW I see your hairclips standing , overachiever pretty! I just bought the lazy Susan mechanism to try to make my small sewing cutting mat a spin mat . couple weeks back I scared some of our friends cutting toward me. I call it living dangerously🤣, only funny till you lose a finger 😣.IDK of I've ever made sourdough , I don't think I have . yummm 🤤! You give me so many ideas , most involve electric tools to add them 😁. I'm working on ideas for the new vanity. The way I have the one I have now sat up, It's functional but involves digging . I was thinking I can use double sided tape and add the acrylic shelves to hold things on the inside side so the floor area of the cabinet doesn't have so much. But I will know more when the vanity arrives. GLASSES! ?!?! You look bee ute eeful in them . Thank you for the racing rabbit hole I'm jumping in ... clear , I like clear I think for storage . Hi DeDe! All your spaces were beautiful before but now they’re really breathtaking! And aren’t empty spaces great?! I’m going to continue to go through my areas often - decluttering and reevaluating. And I have lots of back stock of paper products, cleaning products, etc. and I want to pare it down a bit to open up some spaces. I don’t like to pay full price for things whenever possible so I stock up when things I use go on sale but just going to put the brakes on for awhile. Have a great week- hope your team wins! Good morning Carolyn! Yes ma’am, empty spaces are really great! They really give me so much peace! It has been quite a journey, and I still have a long way to go, but I really am pleased. I too, have a lot of backstock. I am guilty of doing the same thing that you do stocking up when I find something on a good price!
