Love watching all your videos! I feel so much better when my daughter goes to OSU this fall. We live in GA as well. If I rent in Ohio, will my daughter be qualified for in state tuition after 12 months? TIA

Possible, but sometimes it takes a little more than a year. I would check out the OSU residency website they have a BUNCH of information on residency status, how to get it, the application process, etc. and you can live chat with them on the site to ask any questions about residency because it's a tricky case by case subject! :)

Also I completely for got ask my question on the other vid but it’s super quick. I’m from west palm beach, Florida and I’m super stressed about college at OSU and trying to figure it all out. I’m pretty outgoing and like to meet new people but I also have social anxiety. I was wondering if you had any advice for trying to acclimate myself there and be less stressed???

(sorry this is so late!) I would recommend definitely making friends with you roommate first, your roommate(s) can then branch you out to their friends and you can meet new people through them and then through those friend's friends, etc. the list can go on! That way YOU aren't really going out of your way to make friends, but it's still happening through people you know! :) Also keeping a seat open next to you in class so if people sit next to you, you can make friends easily without going too much out of your way! You may want to consider joining a club/org/greek life that'll really branch you out and help you to make friends!! for me, doing my coping mechanisms really help my anxiety, so cleaning, being organized, writing, and listening to music really helps me so my anxiety doesn't effect me AS MUCH on a daily basis. I think doing things you're already comfortable doing will help you be less stressed about the situation and then you are able to be out and make friends. My first few years of college going out and partying STRESSED ME OUT so I stopped doing it because I wasn't having fun and I wasn't making friends because of it. When I started doing what I liked and enjoyed doing that made me less stressed I also made friends who were doing the same which helped a lot. I hope some of these few points are helpful for you! You're going to do great in college and have so much fun!!! I know it can be overwhelming just waiting for it to all happen, but I wish you all the best!

Honestly I LOVED living in Siebert and any of the north campus dorms are pretty new and nice!!!

Yes, I agree Winters "SUCK". I keep emergency food during the winter in case of ice or freezing cold!!!!!!!! I'm 39 but people say I look 25, when I go down the main road and wear a backpack, nobody would know if I were a student or not. We are lucky to have cell phones now too. I don't leave my apartment after dark (sunset), (I don't drive). I'm female (obviously), so I do worry sometimes. The food pantry is down the street.

it's different for every single chapter at every single school. They go over pricing during Recruitment and you can usually look up the chapter dues for the school you're interested in, or contact their PHA for information on finances.

I would visit admissions.osu.edu for more information on application and for international students. I was going to link you to a specific page on OSU's website for financial aid for international students, but it seems like their systems are down :/ Once they're back up just google OSU financial aid and there will be a sfa.osu.edu website you can view with tabs for international students.

This is my own personal opinion, so I can't say FOR SURE of course. but I think no. I only know of like 2 frats that have openly gay members in them (Theta Xi and Pi Lambda Phi) and I LOVEEEE those frats, but I don't know of other gay men in other frats.
