@@neilracine6158 I think their anger, frustration and resentment is more directed at themselves and the people that coerced them into leaving the relationship, rather than at the dumpee. Essentially, they have been backed into a corner and cannot see a way out (trying to reconcile things with the dumpee) without upsetting the people they confided in initially. They seem to suffer silently for that and the only way they can deal with it is through anger, frustration and resentment

Especially if they go off and rebound or have someone else already lined up. You aren't the fall back and everything you said is true. Even if you did get them back, how can you ever trust that when things get hard later in life they wont leave you again, and at that point the situation could be so much worse than it is now. Also, you need to have respect for yourself. If you cant respect yourself they will never respect you either. Sometimes it can be hard to lose someone that you love, but at a point you need to realize that its time to move on and be better than them, not just tell yourself you are.

I had a breakup ten days ago. During that argue, i told her that i would like to talk about everything she mentioned as a problems, and i said to her to call me when she would be ready to call me. I go to NC phase. Let her to calm herself etc 5 days after that she called me. I was in the job but my REACTION was positive, happy, and cheerful. I was in sad mood inside myself, BUT i knew that i must project full positive reaction on her, so i can polarise her emotions to simething positive, no need for bad feeling at all!! I told her in short that i can not talk now but we can hear after job. I did not call her after the job, to continue NC .. because of situation ... let her calm her self. 5 days later she called me and we were talking about everything in mature, calm manner.. we sold issues, i accepted my mistakes and desided to work on them, she accepted her part of situation. And i think everything will be ok. The point is, what i learned from this. Break up usual is NOT break up from you, from person, sometimes it is moving away from specific situation, ... so when you step back and give space and time to other side, it usual create everything good Coach Lee talks about. Human brain have tendencies to forget bad situations, and remember only good one. So when bad situation occur, just step back, and let time do things... Usual it does... really well...

Great video...I only disagree with "ignoring" part, I had 2 exes I've dumped and first one was replaying to my texts and it gave me peace of mind and I never felt desired to this person any more...it's like I lost respect, interest or something. ..the second one ignored me and it fed my anxiety to the point I went crazy about her, felt the attraction towards this person and I tried many times, different ways to get to her. The thing is if you really want someone you find a way and them ignoring you will not put you off at all...that's my experience.

The day she dumped me I made several of these mistakes. I begged and pleaded, I pushed too hard and wouldn’t back off, I messaged one of her friends, and to top it off I said something insanely hurtful. I sent one text the next day asking if there was any chance of reconciling down the road, then upon discovering these videos I immediately went into no contact mode. Two days later after zero contact... she texted me saying she’d be open to talking in a few weeks when she’s back in town. I have no idea what that talk will lead to or what she might have in mind for it, but that’s as hopeful a sign I could possibly get, and in a short amount of time. So we’ll see what happens - but I can tell you that if you and your ex meant a lot to each other, even if you made these mistakes initially, the no contact rule DOES work. Stay strong everyone... god knows I’m trying to.

Hey man I know how you feel and can top that. Me and my gf and mother of our child broke up after 8 years (on and of). While we split up before she was seeing a women. They broke up and we started back up again. Fast forward 2 years. We have a place together. I ended up getting covid and she and my daughter had to leave our place so they both wouldnt get it. My ex ended up faking covid, dropped our daughter off with my parents and left to go to key west. Little did I know, she was in Colorado with her ex girlfriend the whole time for 5 weeks and didnt even know until I saw an Instagram post. She came back said she was sorry but wasnt happy so that's why she did what she did. Now that she came back she wanted me out of our apartment that I pay for while she and her sister who took my living space stays. How insanely fucked up is that? No idea this was coming and I loved her so much but the way I look at it. If someone can do that to you, it's not you its them. They have no soul. Move on, keep your head up, work on yourself and the right person will respect you. I still love her but what she did was absolutely unforgivable, even if we do have a child together. Im on month 3 of a hard break up, she was my first love and I thought it was the love of my life. We ended things on good terms though, and we still love each other (well, she loves me less and not like before, thats why she broke up with me... and also she didnt wanted to be in a relationship anymore). During the first stages of the BU we texted pretty frequently, I guess we were accustomed to each other. With time we stopped texting that frequently, now we only text every other day or maybe after many days (longer being a week). At the beginning (first month or so) we talked and agreed on still seeing each other and still be in each others lives. But I got confused and thought we were gonna get back together, so she set boundaries, and I went through the grief all over again, so then I set distance and said I needed to heal if we still wanted to see each other (only lasted a week and then I contacted her). Now its been 3 months, we saw each other 4 times. The last 2 I think we agreed to still see each other, we can still watch netflix in bed and cuddle, hug, kiss, but no texting everyday or being that commited I guess. She says she loves me and misses me, but nothing about getting back together, I know she doesnt want a relationship or being more commited and reciprocate with love. Last time I called her couse I missed her and cried (in my defence she has cried before in front of me couse she was guilty about making me feel sad and I acted really good and consoled her). So we decided to still maintain distance in between out hangouts. Im worried this situationship we are having is gonna give me hope and kill me on the inside. It will be great if the EX moves away forever. Unless its a blatant cheating everything can be worked out. More often than not the EX forget that it takes two to tango. They forget their mistakes. Coach please help me, I made a LOT of mistakes. I was the dumper, I tried to get her back and pleaded, begged, cried over the phone, wrote a letter. I also called her friends and mom and finally my desperation was so high that I stalked her house and created a fake Facebook profile just to find out she has a new boyfriend, she found out about EVERYTHING I did and blocked me from everywhere, told me to leave her alone, told me she did not care about me, and threatened to contact the authorities if I didn't stop. Only then I went no contact, it's been five months since the breakup and one month since I am in no contact. We were together for 3 years and had some pretty intense moments of closeness together, I was by her side during a surgery that changed her life and it's recovery and she was by my side when my father died. Is there any hope for me to get her back? Did I push her away forever already?
