She always comes up with the stage concepts!! That’s why she’s so amazing, she is so involved with everything.. from every little detail of the stage to idk how the stage will suit the lyrics.. she thought of being carried to the stage, etc. It’s amazing really.. It’s a 2005 song btw, Laurent is to thank for all the amazing musical compositions. The background indeed had “shut up” & “shut the fuck up” in it.. This is definitely her best intro (in my opinion), as you noticed she’s not a very vocal artist. Rather visual instead.

That'S a little bit false and erroneous. She doesn't come up with the entire concept from start to finish all by herself. Laurent and other collaborators are often suggesting ideas and coming up with new and interesting possibilities. It's really a team conception.

She’s a very different artist, you got that right. She’s never had social media etc.. it really shows that she wants to be an artist, not an influencer etc. She’s also a very visual artist meaning there is a lot to discover.. For starters maybe: Mylenium + l’amour naissant (1999) L’horloge (2019) was spectacular but maybe for a later time.. same with the opening of 2019. Ainsi soit je + avant que l’ombre (2009) is very moving Timeless genesis + a force de is also good but same words as 2019, maybe for a later time when you know her more. But more then the stage, you NEED to check out her mvs.. they were like short movies: Désenchantée (1991), her biggest hit. Was no1 (in France) for 9 weeks straight, in top10 the following 16.. at the time it was the most sold french single of all time (in France & around the world). Also the lyrics very well suit the situation today.. California (1995), the mv speaks an interesting story. The song is a classic by her. Je te rends ton amour, banned by the Catholic Church in France. An amazing music video. The story is very well done also.. I mean when isn’t it. The lyrics of this song can be interpreted in so many ways, it’s also very symbolic. Personally, this is my fav mv of hers. There are so many more (I won’t be able. to explain in more depth): libertine (1986), pourvu qu’elles soient douces (p2 of libertine) (1988), sans logique (1988), sans contrefaçon (1988), que mon cœur lâche (1992), l’âme-steam-gram (1999, her most expensive mv), Optimistique-Moi (1999), Fuck them All (2005).. etc

Placed 9th most profitable female world artist in 2019 for tours by doing only 9 concerts (250,000 tickets sold in less than 3 hours several months before .....). Imagine if she did 50 to 100 like the others then she would definitely be # 1 .... ^^ A mysterious person about whom we hardly know anything private, bewitching and almost unreal for his fans who are perhaps the most fanatical. I never understood that she hardly ever leaves her country when many fans would like to see her in other countries ......

Her name Mylène Farmer is actually a tribute to the famous American actress Frances Farmer who finished her career in an asylum and lobotomised. Her real name is Mylene Gauthier. Mylène is the best female record seller in France. Since 1984, 30 millions records and only 7 Tours, 11 albums. That gives you an idea why her concert are so epic. She wants each concert unique and memorable. She created a kind of mystical universe based on absence and silence. You never see her on TV, no interview, no gossip... and that creates a gap in all her fans that she fills with her concerts. Sometimes 4 or 5 years between each concert. So when she appears on stage .... we’re crying, screaming and "worshiping" her as if she was a kind of Goddess. When she sings emotional songs in a crowd of 80k people you can hear a pin drop ! It’s just amazing... She’s touching us for almost 40 years because of her lyrics. It speaks to everybody in different ways and it doesn’t age it is about War, God, homophobia, sex, the world, injustice, and of course love....). She never gives interview because everything we need to know is in the lyrics. Her signature song is Désenchanté. It could be nice if you could react to the live performance of this song⬇️ kzbin.info/www/bejne/mp2yd4unlKuKrs0 Here is the translation 😉 lyricstranslate.com/fr/desenchantee-disenchanted.html Thank you for your reaction 🙏

Thanks for your reaction! This show was so huge it could not tour. And the whole set was so heavy that only this arena could put up with all the infrastructure fixed on the ceiling. She did a residency for 13 dates and everything was sold out 1 year before (17 000 seats each night). The gates are made of wood and are a replica of a church portal in Florence, Italy. And yes you hear correctly "shut up" and " shut the fuck up". This song is a lovesong about someone who is really infatuated about someone who may not feel the same. So the " shut up" may be interpreted as her inner voice telling her to shut up her feelings and to walk away from that person. She is known to produce amazing shows, especially entrances and exits. She is able to set a unique atmosphere, in arenas or stadiums. You should check her piano/ voice sets she does in each show, you will grasp the intimacy she is able to get even with 80 000 people.

She's very theatrical in her performances and deep in her lyrics that usually exhibit such a rich knowledge of language, literature and psychology. She's never been a powerhouse vocalist but her voice is so delicate and angelic, also she's technically trained and has such a difficult repertoire, it is quite difficult to sing live the way she does with that constant use of mixed voice and falsetto. She also has other songs In which she showcases her low register that is very dark a powerful and makes such a big contrast when compared to the way she usually sings. I highly recommend you to watch her first tour ever In 1989, the darkest live presentation of her career with the set resembling a cemetery, Victorian-Styled clothes and multiple references to Gothic, Vampirism, and the Occult. As a matter of fact that show is probably the most theatrical one she's ever done as there was almost no conversation with the audience (somethig that was also heavily criticised). The official video release of that tour is called "Mylene Farmer En Concert - Le Film", truly amazing, it looks like a music video or sometimes even like an actual film presented onstage. Thanks for your video and keep reacting to Mylene please!! 🙏🙏🙏

This song is from her 2005 album "Avant Que L'ombre", which she was promoting with this show! I was standing somewhere between that cross and the stage. That bridge descended several times throughout the concert. The floor area was not divided into two (golden circle and fan circle) , like it did in her later tours. This means that it was easier to get the tickets to be able to stand next to the stage. When it comes to the complexity and creativity of the stage design, she is always on top of the game. She sells a lot of records, and she sells out all of her shows - and that means that a lot of money is invested into the production! That has always been the case from her very first tour from 1989 to the latest in 2019. Every one of her tours is well produced and thought out - I suggest that you eventually see all of them! Do not hesitate to check out her iconic music videos... there are also many of those!

@@PowerfulReactions Hello, "Shut up, shut a fuck up!" That's what voices claim my friend, if you wasn't sure. It's in contrast to the lyrics. To say "Shut up now and listen to me, this is the message ...And with this song we will communicate and maybe even commune (in an almost religious sense of the term) with my music". What's striking about Mylène's discography is that a lot of songs can take on a different meaning (Lyrics) when they're performed in front of a fan audience. Suddenly, it becomes like a kind of dialogue with the spectators. :)

You can't go wrong with any of the these recommendations, but a couple of my favorites are: "City of Love": Music video very reminiscent of Guillermo del Toro's work (director of "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Shape of Water") "California": Very cool, cinematic music video, smooth-sounding song. Featuring Giancarlo Esposito, aka Gus Fring from "Breaking Bad" "Descenchantee": Her signature song. Again, a very cinematic video, featuring an almost Dickensian setting.

Thank you for this reaction ! You can react to her Mylenium opening (2000), Stadium of France (2009 ; BTW biggest European stage ever build by an artist for the stadium of France), Timless (2013), and Live 2019. All are different concepts but amazing 😻

Hi Johnny. Her shows are Just outstanding. Intro and outro just amazing. Check any you’ll love it. Latest in 2019 is just insane. But her 2006 concert his her best. Ever.

The concept of the performance also belongs to her. As well as music videos. And she writes songs herself, which fell into the Guinness Book of Records as the best-selling French-language single of all time - "Desenchantee"

Maybe next time look up a lyrics translation also! Sadly most videos don’t have subtitles.. this song is actually pretty rare. The lyrics of it are rather optimistic & she’s not known for that. Her lyrics mostly deal with death, tragedies etc.. You also missed the first 2 min of the intro, where it was just credits aka nothing big, because the video you had was cut a bit weirdly..

Yes it's true that this 2006 intro was almost unimaginable and I don't think anyone has done better than that in a 20,000 seat arena (NBA model). How did they get it all in this place? During his 2019 tour also his intro in Paris in the largest arena in Europe (40,000) was fantastic but the space allowed it better. All his intros and outros are next level and I advise you to watch all the others as well (1989, 1996, 1999, 2009,2013,2019) In France, some sources say that what she is preparing for her 2023 tour will be memorable and will go down in music history because it will never have been dared by anyone before ...

So nice to see you discovering the amazing "world" of Mylene. You've taken notice of the drummer and his name is Abe Laboriel Jr and you should watch "Les Mots" from the same concert ("Avant que L'ombre"- 2006). Abe shows he's not just one of the best drummers ever, he can also sing. The song was originally a really great duet with Mylene and Seal, but Abe manage to lift the song to new hights. A very Merry Xmas to you and your followers.

Absolute Top Shows.

Get real, you poor thing! Live 2019 is the opposite of amazing. Too many uncharismatic dancers with the faces of serial killers, godawful choregraphies, horrible reorchestrations for half of the songs, ugly costumes, sterile decors and a messy, chaotic and incoherent set list.

Don't let this poor guy's comment prevent you from reacting to this amazing 2019 concert. Every concert series of mylene brings out different things. 2019 is probably the largest scale concert she has ever attempt.

LMAO! For your information, you pitiful moron, I'm the opposite of a poor guy. The 2019 concert is extremely far from being amazing, it it horrible and disastrous. Just as awful as Timeless 2013. Her best concerts will always be Mylenium Tour, Bercy 2006 and Tour 2009. That's a fact and those concerts truly are amazing.

Have you ever taken a look at her historical concert from 1989 ? It's the original Mylène and the best one imo. A very, very different type of concert, much less money, but much more character. I love this concert, of course, and I still liked her music at that time despite the stylistic change, but... again, to me, it's like night and day.
