I will tell you my experience. Those belts look uncomfortable yes, but your hernia belt only started working for me when i added extra pads within the pocket. I wore your belt for more than a year and it wasn't until i added the extra pads and also tightened the belt up quite a bit that i saw amazing results with the hernia going away. I tried your online course and did all the exercises according to the timetable like a soldier for atleast 9 months but there was no improvement until i added those pads and tightened the belt up. This was uncomfortable many times but not too bad during the day while doing physical work with lots of movement. Several months later the hernia got so good that i hardly ever saw it even when taking the belt off to take a shower etc. I now continue to wear the belt but with less padding and less pressure. One thing to note was that when my hernia was protruding low down i put emphasis on tightening the strap which goes around under the bum, which provided more support from underneath the hernia, then as the hernia got better i could focus the pressure more evenly with both straps. Your hernia belt when i learnt to use it well, has been absolutely brilliant for me, i dont know what i would have done without it to be honest. BTW, the abb vaccum exercise didn't work for me, in the end i felt it might have actually been bad for my hernia. Just wanted to share my experiences here in the hope that it helps someone else. Thanks George!

It's so interesting to me how everyone's situation with these hernias is so different! I've seen people do some hilarious stuff with the extra thick pads to get it just right for their situation. It's funny because when I first designed the belt for myself, it didn't even have a pad! I didn't need anything more that the pressure from the belt itself to hold mine in all the way. It wasn't until I started having other people test it out that I added the pad because most people needed a little more. Glad you were able to get it to work, and makes me extremely happy to hear that it's made such a big difference for you!

I actually did that when I first bought George's belts. Because I had first bought one of the standard versions he shows here, I thought that his alone could not be a strong enough solution without "something " to fill the "gap", much as I liked the neoprene sporty style he had created. So for months I sliced up little toy foam balls you can buy as beach toys and stuffed the halves into the pocket as added pressure against the hernia. I could not have been more wrong. Now, I have stopped that and been wearing the belts for the last six months as George produces them, and honestly, the number of days I can go without feeling my life has become enslaved to this damned thing are far more, and my episodes way less frequent. The only thing I would add to this video is LEAVE YOUR HERNIA ALONE as much as you can. If it protrudes, lay down, suck in your gut, relax, or do ANYTHING but poke and push. THAT is what irritates and makes a simple episode last a couple days.

Had a hernia for many years, healed it naturally by relaxation and strengthening. It is possible, just understand most of the reason for the injury is a sudden physical change that your body (abs) aren't used to and it tears the wall. Go easy and eventually you will conquer it.

I’m 6 months in with your exercises and comfort-truss, and recently added rowing. I now wear your belt when I go up hill hiking, biking or any sports. I don’t have to wear it day to day. My hernia use to pour out of the opening every time I got out of bed. Your exercises have re-awakened the muscles. Just before I started going without the belt day to day, I felt a pulse in the hernia area and it started getting itchy. I think it was from the blood flowing to those muscles for the first time in a long time. I will continue to work on getting the hernia completely gone. From where I started, I’m more then half way there. Thanks George!

Since there are two types of inguinal hernias - direct and indirect, and they are anatomically located in different places, it is necessary to understand what kind of hernia a person has and how to use a particular hernia belt. For an indirect inguinal hernia, you must press on the deep ring of the inguinal canal so that the internal organs do not enter it. For a direct inguinal hernia, you must press on the inguinal triangle so that it does not protrude. Therefore, the shape of the belt inserts and their positions can and should differ depending on the type of hernia.

Hey George. I’ve been wearing the comfort truss for construction work since developing inguinal hernias. Continuing with construction cautiously as I have to. Have checked out your exercises and have not been so good about doing these but have found between the comfort truss & limiting the load while shoveling and some occasional exercises I have seen some retreat of the hernia. Amazing as it really shows that what you do yourself really does have a huge impact. Anyone who has not done your suggested exercises needs to just start something. Come on already. Don’t avoid. Thanks for what you have done for this issue. I’ve benefited from information you have provided & am impressed with your commitment.

The first belt/ truss I bought, the pads were shaped like that, except they were soft and spongy. Because of that and how thick they were, they didn't keep my hernias in. So I replaced them with pads I made out of interlocking foam floor matts. It worked perfectly.

I bought the lightweight Comfort Truss right away and quickly realized I needed the heftier model with thicker pads, due to the shape of my body. I'm losing weight as part of the plan for healing, to be healthier in general but also to relieve pressure internally from visceral fat pushing down on the hernia from within. I suspect that as I lose body fat in the area where the belt is I won't need as much thickness in the pad, but no matter how thick, the simple flat design really works as long as I have the belt adjusted to sit right over the hernia snugly. And it is really comfortable! Thanks, George!

MAN!!! I am so happy you said this. I have been thinking this ever since I first bought one of these torture belts from the "medical industry". Mine was also so thick and used hooks and grommets to connect it, being really cumbersome to wear. Your solution is SO much better designed (I dive for hours with it almost daily) and has at the very least helped me keep my hernia from getting any worse, which I am sure that hard protruding ball you show is MEANT to do! I honestly think, especially after Covid, that they are in the business of exacerbating all disease to make money through their surgeries and chemical or biological "solutions".

George, I have a cheap belt I got on Amazon and also a Comfort-Truss. To be honest, the cheap one is a lot easier to put on, and I wear it when I'm lifting weights (or exerting myself in any way) at home. The pad is convex, but it's soft, and it feels fine. I wear yours when I'm going out because it doesn't show like the cheap one.
@MyNaturalHerniaCure
@MyNaturalHerniaCure Жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you have a system that works for you. What makes the cheap one easier to put on? Is it a waist strap and a leg strap like the Comfort-Truss?
@JoeS-ej4gn
@JoeS-ej4gn Жыл бұрын
@@MyNaturalHerniaCure Yeah, it has leg and waist straps. I have two small hernias (one like a grape and one like a pea) so both trusses are the double style. When lying down to make sure they both go in, it's much easier to reach the velcro end of the waistband and pull it around on the cheap one. On the Comfort-Truss, reaching way around my back to pull it tight is difficult. What makes it a little bit easier is that I have a weight bench with a space between the seat and back, and can position myself on it so that the rear of the waist strap falls in that space. If I had to lie on a bed or the floor, it would be a lot harder.
@MyNaturalHerniaCure
@MyNaturalHerniaCure Жыл бұрын
@JoeS-ej4gn oh ok gotcha! The double belts are a little harder because they fasten in the back instead of on the side like the single side belt, so I always recommend fastening the waist strap in the front then spinning the belt around to put it in place once it’s fastened like how women put bras on. Not sure if that would help in your situation but thought I’d throw the idea out there. Thanks for the clarification!
@JoeS-ej4gn
@JoeS-ej4gn Жыл бұрын
@@MyNaturalHerniaCure I tried that method at first, but due to the 'stickiness' of the CT fabric, found it quite the hassle to re-insert the leg straps every time. So I leave them attached and don it by inserting my legs and pulling it on. But I'm sure the cheap version's velcro will poop out long before the CT stops working. Don't wanna sound like I'm complaining. I appreciate the work you've done on the CT and here🙂 Edit: I pull it 'up' more than 'on'. The waist is still unfastened, just to be clear.

I also bought a generic hernia pad on the internet and I am also irritated with those extremely hard and oversized pads. I thought that removing them would be dangerous for me not until one day I noticed that it suddenly dropped from my belt. Thanks George-love your info! I gotta say though that those Amazon belts actually help keep my inguinal hernia pushed in better. Your Comfort Truss is sleeker but I had to add more padding to increase the surface area pressure needed to hold the bulge in. For long distance running I use your light weight truss & in addition one of those Amazon belts and it's almost like I can relax my low core for longer periods of time b/c the surface area tension has increased. Anyway - your content gives me a lot of hope & to persevere! Got my first full marathon coming up in 3 weeks...

All the time? I'm nos using it when I have to go out and work, and use an extra belt when I have to lift heavy things.(trying to avoid it as much as possible) when I get to my house I take it out to release the pressure, and as soon as I feel the hernia is coming down I lift it up, but now I will get more into your videos to start making the exercises.

2:40 That is exactly the hernia belt I first bought. I think the brand was Oppo. I can only concur with your findings, namely that the pad is worse than nothing! Later I bought a different belt which has a removable pad (Velcro). At least with that one you can adjust the position of the pad. But the pad is again very firm and didn't bring much relief from the hernia (right side). I had the hernia repaired with mesh in open surgery three years ago under local anesthetic here in England. But a few weeks ago I feared it had recurred. The repair site was darned painful for days after the operation and only settled down after two weeks of recovery. I didn't know back then about icing. Anyway, I've been getting the typical burning sensation in the groin crease that is exacerbated by movement. When I lay down flat on my bed for 10 minutes the burning feeling subsides. So I have been doing a lot of research into recurring hernias. A number of people are suggesting alternative ways to approach the issue instead of surgery or repeat surgery. The last thing I want is to go through that again! I'm 78 now and can do without it. Which is how I've come to watch your video. Several things I have been doing: (a) Resting a lot. I had been doing a lot of DIY, mowing lawns, hoovering, and other physical tasks. Before, I just pushed through the pain, which of course got worse. So then I decided to stop what I was doing, lay down. and rest for 30 minutes, even an hour. I am of course long since retired so I have all the time in the world to experiment. (b) I started sucking in the stomach muscles. I saw this in another video and thought, well, it surely can't hurt to try. (c) I apply ibuprofen gel to the pubic area around the site of the incision from 3 years ago if the pain gets worse than normal. But for several days now I have been almost symptom free. Tuesdays (today) is always worse, as I do my weekly grocery shopping on Tuesdays and that means visiting 3, 4, even sometimes 5 supermarkets to get the stuff I want. This involves a lot of walking to and from the car park and around the store. (d) Icing. I have found a lot of relief from an icepack and towel held over the spot for 30 minutes at a time. Right, now I'm going to watch the rest of this video and see what suggestions you make! I do hope I can avoid surgery again.

I'm 2 years into my IH appearing . I've been using the Comfort Truss when I think I may do some heavy lifting . I was wearing it daily , but realized because I kneel all day at work , it was smushing the hernia and making it inflamed . Mine never got worse , and by far the biggest factor is my weight and diet . If I stay slim it's barely an issue. And I learned what foods make me bloat or cause gas and avoid them. At certain times it doesnt present at all. Through out my work day as a painter, I lay down on my back and let things settle down. Everything is all about avoiding inflamation for me . I run, lift weights and do calethstenics . If I gain weight it really pushes out so I have to stay on top of things . I'm not avoiding surgery so much as I simply can't afford to buy insurance because I'm self employed . It's around 17,000 to 20,000 a year and a huge deductable , so I am kind of stuck managing it. The truss really is comfortable, I break the "rules" and wear it over my boxer-briefs .

The hernia needs to be held in so that the muscles are not being constantly bombardee with pressure pushing them out while they strengthen. If you can find a belt that does work for you, it could be a game changer if you’re already finding some success without one. What was it about the CT that didn’t work? Was it a padding issue? Fabric too lightweight? Or something else?

It’s so interesting how it’s so different for everyone because I’m 6’ 150lbs, and didn’t even need a pad in mine to hold the hernia in perfectly. Usually when even using the thicker accessory pads the hernia still doesn’t stay in it’s because there is a lot of internal pressure pushing the hernia out, which I usually think about as a dietary issue, but if you’re dealing with high amounts of inflammation and possibly colon cancer, that’s probably the culprit, and why you would need so much padding to keep the hernia in. Good luck with your situation, and thanks for the response!

First of all, inguinal does need mean “in the scrotum”. It means “in the region of the groin”. Those are two very different things. Not all hernias end up in the scrotum. Especially if you are proactive in fixing the root causes of the hernia, which apparently you were not since you did nothing and waited a year to get surgery. You tell people they should just get the surgery ASAP, but have you looked up stats on post operative complications from hernia surgery? Of course not, but listening to guys like me about being proactive against the hernia makes things worse, even though I was able to get my hernia to become asymptomatic and never had to go through the trauma of surgery? That’s a ridiculous statement. Look up the stats on how many people end up with lifelong side effects from listening to what your saying, then look up stats on the side effects of trying to heal naturally. Which one has done more damage?

Hi George! I bought your heavy duty belts and they are great. However, my hernia is the size of half a golfball and it will not stay in completely if I dont add a little lump of textile in front of the pad. Did your hernia actually stay in completely with a thin flat pad? Cheers.
@MyNaturalHerniaCure
@MyNaturalHerniaCure 8 ай бұрын
Yes, mine stayed in without even having a pad in the belt. Actually, the first comfort-truss I designed and used for myself didn’t even have a pocket to put a pad in because I didn’t need it. I had very little internal pressure pushing my hernia out so it went in very easy even though it was pretty big.

Great thanks for sharing. Yeah okay, so I have a really small inguinal hernia. However, the discomfort on a scale from 1 to 10 is a 2, and slight pain. Just diagnosed a couple of months ago. Started wearing the belt and it helped. But sometimes I realized it made it worse bc of what you explained. Stopped using the belt and feel better...The question is how did yours heal? just with your belt? how can I exercise now? Can you dance with an inguinal hernia? any suggestions from anyone- thank you kindly.

Please take a look at the other videos on my channel for much more info. In short, I devised a plan to fix the five commonalities that most hernia sufferers have, which are weakness in the muscles around the inguinal canal, limited mobility in the hips, poor pelvic posture, diet that causes excess gas, bloating or intestinal swelling, repressed emotions such as anger in the unconscious mind (this is a tricky one). Once I fixed all of those things holistically my hernia went away. While I was working on all of this I needed to find a way to keep the hernia from coming out at all times no matter what I was doing which is why I developed the comfort-truss. Once I did that I could do anything I wanted as long as I had the hernia belt on. Then I got to a point where I no longer needed the belt anymore.

Hey George from the research I’ve done I would say my inguinal hernia is indirect because it does travel into the scrotum Would your excercises possibly help for an indirect inguinal hernia ? I first noticed my hernia about 5 years ago Also I’m a singer it’s what I do full time for a living I bought your comfort truss like a few years ago and I will say I need a new one I remember I added extra padding inside the pocket of mine when I bought it a few years back Should I be wearing your belts when it’s an indirect or is there a certain one I should buy I need to start doing something about this because it’s always a worry in the back of my mind So I want to start really focusing on trying to correct it possibly without surgery but is this possible so you think with an indirect hernia traveling into the scrotum? And do you have a specific belt for an indirect ? It’s on my right side

Yes, the new version is way better. The old one I had to pull so tight I actually ended up with DVT and pulmonary embolism from cutting off circulation in the iliac vein! Still a great product, but I am afraid to use it anymore and going for surgery in two weeks. Sucks and I am afraid of ruining my life, but I can’t deal anymore!!

yea those suck I could tell right away when I first bought one it was bad. They are absolutely worthless. The main stream medical field has no credibility at all with me. I've seen time and time again what F ups they are. Which is the reason why I didn't fell comfortable getting surgery. only because of the incompetence of modern doctors. Funny thing is a godamn doctor is the only reason why I even have a hernia. it wasn't caused by anything I was doing. but the belt I wear now is great. I've been using your methods as well as others and my hernia was once the size of one golf ball (not as bad as yours was) but it is now down to a tiny little sliver. I cant wait until I don't have to were the freaking belt anymore and get my 100% freedom back its been so long. Another thing that I feel really helps that I don't see anyone talk about it is taking a block of ice to your hernia while at an incline. Or the R.I.C.E method if your familiar with that.

That’s awesome that you’re making progress with it! It is so nice when you don’t have to rely on the belt any more. Took me some time to get used to it because I felt so supported with on, then to not have that protection in place freaked me out at first. But once I gained more confidence and the hernia wasn’t popping out at all I began to never even think about it anymore.

@@MyNaturalHerniaCureI appreciate you brother it feels awesome. It feels better to have the comfort of knowing you can get better and heal fully as well. Hearing it from someone who has been down that same horrible road before too. Since your like me, very physically active and into fighting and martial arts its absolute hell. basically being an invalid for awhile. Thanks so much for all you've done and sacrificed. Your an inspiration to all of us. Also its amazing you healed it with no problems. The hernia you hand was probably the worst I have ever heard of. I've never heard of a double golf ball sized hernia before. If you can bounceback from that stronger than ever than theres nothing you cant do. I appreciate you and your work brother!
