My husband and I were renovating a 1900’s building in Chicago with two apartments. We lived in the top apartment and he was downstairs working on the first floor apartment while I was upstairs unknown to him, he thought I was down by him. Suddenly he came running upstairs as white as a ghost asking me when I had left him in the apartment. I said I never was down there. Apparently he had been having a conversation with someone/thing, without turning around thinking it was me. Yep that was creepy.

I attended a Catholic School, where 75% of our teachers were nuns. The nunnery was a large building in the middle of immaculate gardens. I had my piano and violin lessons in the music rooms, again in the gardens. We heard that an elderly nun had died and our music lessons were suspended. I wanted to know why. Eventually, lessons were restored & I asked my teacher nun. She explained that nuns who die are sometimes seen walking the gardens and the recent victim was very active for several days. A priest came "to help her pass over" and she wasn't seen again. My mother had attended the same school and told me that such events happened in her time there.

I attended a private Catholic university! I wanna say I did hear something similar. I know a little elderly nun drown, when she got out. She was a senior, now I figured she must have had dementia. It was such a tragic thing to happen.

You can add pigment to the lime if its too white. locals used to use the local sand and add clay or mud to colour it. The granite can take it; but adding cement to lime to use with any stone softer than granite would be death to the stone. Thanks again for the vlog, always a joy x

Regarding the voices you hear.. Most likely they are from the outside of the building.. I have two fire places each with it's own chimney.. I have found that certain times of the year people talking or yelling out side sometimes sounds like it's in my house.. Voices echo off or bounce off other structures and filter into the house through the chimneys.. You would be amazed how far certain voices and sounds can carry..

That mysterious voice, I'd ask him to scare away would be intruders. Maybe the spirits feel protective of the convent, which is 'added value'. They're not hampering your work (if tools or items go missing, then maybe that's an indication they're not happy). These spirits could be centuries old, maybe even older than the convent itself.

A building that old absolutely has spirits. We were restoring a home built in the late 1700’s and we had all kinds of weird things happen, things moved, bathtub water turned on, you could feel a presence…the first year and a half to two years were the most active then it quieted down. I read years later that that is typical. Thankfully our ghost was friendly. They got used to us and us to them. I would love for you to set up live feed cameras with sound for us to watch! You never know what we might spot.
