The gray appearing pink isnt Adam! It's because you've stared at a bright green for a time, so when you remove that green you see an afterimage of the opposite color (which is red) on whatever you see next. So that's where the pink came from

Unrelated to the video, but after years of keeping it in mind because of Adam talking about it, I've finally gotten "Figure Drawing For All It's Worth". I've only gone through the first two chapters so far, and it's already been helpful in improving my ability to pose characters! Also Andrew Loomis has a great sense of humour. Related to the video: those Holbein pencils are so pretty!

Yes, the Daniel Smith palette was from me! 😏👌 You were so jazzed about Wisteria and Lavender I had to! That set also has some other bangers like Moonglow~ so hopefully you enjoy! 🥰🤗💜 And yes I figured you could even just pick out other half pans or buy tubes of other Daniel Smith paints to slowly fill up the palette.

I would LOVE to see a video where you open the dolls and then make your own characters for their world. But use your own inspo, like instead of making candylocks, make froggielocks or mushroomlocks or cerealocks. And make some friends for polly.. OOOH! Ooh, I loved watching you guys open this stuff. I have a fair number of PanPastels and they’re really beautiful. They’re a pastel, but you can apply them like paint with the tools they provide (or eyeshadow and other makeup sponges from a pound shop will work if you’re on a budget!). They’re very expressive and free-feeling to me, so I’m excited to see what you’ll do with them.

I’ve never seen glittery Posca pens in the US but now I’m on the hunt. I use mine to paint on little rocks which my daughter and I then hide around town as a fun fund for an unsuspecting person.

My doctor says I carry the colorblind gene whatever that means and so I too suffer from some traits of colorblindness which is uncommon for a female, anyway when you opened that sketchbook in the beginning of the video I too thought the paper looked pink..lol Anyway what a fun video, he continues to crack me up everytime lmao! The pastel is indeed a type of pastel, but not in crayon form, in pan form. Just like you can have charcoal in a pan. You can also buy paletknives with cushions that go around it, many artists prefer working with it over the sticks, because its more precise and soft way of working than with crayons

yello and red paints often have cadmium in them, which is carcinogenic in large or constant dosing. but in paints it's not usually enough to cause damage. Hence why the pastels got a warning :3

Color wheel and the things with the CA cancer warning makes me flashback to art school. We had to have one of those wheels in our 'basic foundation kit', and they pretty much looked the same...in 2006. And with the P95 warning - I probably lost a few brain cells into the void and gotten cancer by senior year.....if I was in California. (School was in Florida.) Not that funny, I know. Only in the smothering heat, surrounded by cheap oil paint thinner fumes and spray fixitives. 🤷‍♂️ Have fun with all those new things! Cheers!

I almost fell off the earth when I got into pastels and pan pastels, so fun. Research the paper needs they have. I recommend Clair Fontaine PastelMat paper for pan pastels. Also, with all that great Daniel Smith watercolors you need to get some really high end 100% cotton watercolor paper such as Arches cold pressed 300grams (140 pound) weight.

The Zest It blender is orange oil based, so lemon juice would definitely not be the same! I don't think orange juice would either, but if you have any orange oil based cleaner (I don't know if they have Orange Glo in the UK) you could compare that.

There are claims that many brands have those paints, those other brands won't come in the cute colour pallettes, but even buying several others to mix stuff together can end up cheaper with prima marketing. (Though I have one of the brands people say is the same, and it's the worst paint I have)
