I've had my Metcalf since 2018, use it for hikes, camping even my commuter bag lol. Had some QC issues, stitching on a few seams and a buckle. After some back and forth (slow) MR replaced the bag and it has performed flawlessly since. I would definitely buy another model but the Metcalf thus far has proved to b a true all around bag for me. A note on sizing on my model I have a medium frame w medium belt. I'm 5'9 and 170ish lb w a 32 in waist. The fit is amazing and comfortable my belt is pulled almost as tight as u can get it have a little slack on each side I can bring in for a little extra snug under heavier loads.

Good review. I’m not sure if you have seen it. But they have a pouch that swings out of the pack. I know it’s a separate purchase. But does seem handy. The video below shows the pouch and is a mystery ranch video. About 1:30 is where it shows the pouch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poOyeXxtpa6bkM0

@@ridgeline_athlete Totally looked at the wrong time. Check out starting 50 seconds in. He shows a pouch that attaches to the inside of the bag and it would allow for a bit of compartmentalization.

What size waist belt did you go with? I was watching another review and he said he had a 32 inch waist and had the Small about as tight as it would go. I have a 29 inch waist so wondering if the small is too big

I have a 33" waist and Medium waist belt and medium frame. Fits me perfectly. I would think you should be alright with a small but you could reach to customer service at Mystery Ranch for support.

Love their products! Just dislike they sold out on the building process. Think they only make the 3dap in the USA and that's it.
