I always cringe when I hear people talking about a spouse being murdered and they slept in separate bedrooms from their spouse that may or may not have killed them, as if that was wrong somehow. My husband and I have slept in seperate rooms for 15 of our 22 year marriage because we sleep more soundly. We both snore and toss and turn. It literally saves our sanity. I used to be self conscious about it until I found out just how many people do the exact same thing. This isn’t 1952. Couples don’t have to be attached at the hip to have a healthy marriage and sex life.

Yes, when my late father and father-in-law both had to sleep in separate beds once they became too sensitive at every movement in the bed. Being married to someone with ADHD is exhausting because of the constant movement. Sex can be more exciting when you have it other places other than the martial bed. Visiting your spouse just for lovemaking is more exciting than the habitual "martial bed!" This man sounds like he may have learning disabilities re: his simpleton way of communicating.

A close friend of mine disappeared several years ago and was later found murdered. Her husband didn't know that she never came home because he went to bed early that evening and chose to sleep in the toddler's bedroom so he could give her her asthma breathing treatments without waking my friend. So he didn't report her missing until the next day. People assumed my friend's husband was guilty. But it turns out the murderer was a janitor in the building where she was working late who kidnapped, raped, and killed her. No matter how it appears, we must never assume. That's why in the United States we are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

As a dandelion eater I have to say that you can totally eat them. Put them in a salad, the leaves are just like rocket leaves. You can use the flowers to make a syrup too! You need quite a few so if you’re not doing serious weeding, contact your local park and see if you can have them weeds (only if they don’t treat them of course). So many weeds are consumable and delicious but people don’t know and instead uproot and toss them while growing lawns 🤢

Hello, there! I agree with you. There are almost always dandelion greens in the produce section of my local market. From time to time the esteemed Dr. Grande can seem a bit provincial and in this case, lacking some culinary awareness. Dandelion greens have been a fixture in salads and salad mixes for the last couple of decades. And the comparison to brussels sprouts is in keeping with Dr. Grande's palate limits. Given that he has been sponsored by a meal company I would think he would be more careful with the food comments. I get it! He is witty and provides information about human nature I was previously unaware of, sometimes I find his judgment on these matters interesting, however maybe his judgment on food isn't the best.

I would also add that bees love dandelions, and our bee population is way, way down. We must have bees to grow much of our food..., So rather than spray them, or yank dandies out of the ground, how about keeping a designated area for them for the bees. And if you want to eat some Dandies, add a few more to the bee garden.

Everyone is different when it comes to depression and mental health. My cousin who I was very close growing up, and lived near, was a quiet guy normally. He took his own life a couple of years ago. Married, 5 kids, never showed any signs of depression. He left a letter to his wife of how he was a failure. Others are more obvious, so you never know.

Hey, lifelong LFD here, & 💯🎯 Agree. It’s really impossible for us to wrap our heads around someone else’s mental issues. Of course suicides do not make sense to those who do not exercise that option. I see it all the time & the first thing parents & so’s do is disbelieve the signs & evidence & believe that it was foul play. I truly believe it’s the brains way of protecting people from dealing with grief, but I’m not a professional. This is my opinion based on what I’ve seen dealing with sudden & unexpected death.

Im a novice engineer (so not an expert on any subject yet) but I've never seen a USB cable so thick that It would not break under a 100lbs force as it falls. Especially after 4 months of sunlight/heat/tension as the body hung, because the wires inside are very small. On the other hand, I could see someone carefully hoisting the body up so slowly that the wires remain relatively undamaged....

Per the medical examiner, the cord was a 1/4 inch in diameter. She was found in a thickly wooded area, so it was in the shade. Re tension, it was an incomplete hanging - her knees were on the ground.

100% this. September birthday too and I’m in a very similar situation. I’m actually girding my loins in advance. I know birthdays really don’t have a meaning, but yeah, it’s that one day of the year when, even if you manage to put introspection aside the rest of the time, one is almost compelled to focus inwards (cos it’s yer ‘special day’) and if you’re not in a good place, it can be pretty devastating. I’ll make a deal with you: I’ll hang on in there for you and you hang on in there for me. And who knows, maybe it’ll be a nice day! I’m not making any plans, except to anticipate how I might feel, so my aim is to find one nice thing that happens on that day, however small. Maybe I’ll see a lovely insect or flower, maybe someone will say or do something to make me laugh. Anyway, I wish you a peaceful birthday and hope it marks the start of better things to come xxx

@@tallblonde1976 Thanks Laura :-) that's very kind! Don't get me wrong, I have had some wonderful birthdays, some unremarkable ones too (I guess I'm lucky, I've had a lot of birthdays). It's just a time of year that many people take the opportunity to reflect, and if things are not good at the time, it can really throw you down the metaphorical toilet. Middle age and (for women) the good old menopause, can crank this up a lot. This is why I can understand a 52 year old woman with a history of really shit things happening might take her life around her birthday. Not saying this IS what happened, but that the prosecution's ridiculous assertion that (paraphrase) 'why would she take her life, it was her birthday!!' really demonstrated a lack of understanding of mental health issues. Anyway, thanks very much for your kind words - I'm going to be fine, I know it :-)

Jury members often want to see a smoking gun. The case with Casey Anthony who obviously killed her daughter is the perfect example. NO matter how much circumstantial evidence the prosecutor has, these people get nervous sending a young woman to the death chamber. That is a reality we need to keep in mind. A criminal does not turn into an angel when a jury cannot find him guilty. The GUILT, then, turns onto them, for failing to do the right thing. This guy may kill again......he could.

Missy, like millions of sofa-detectives would think "WAIT... SHE WAS KNEELING ON THE GROUND WITH A LOOSE WIRE so *therefore The Wire DID NOT STRANGLE HER" or "She was strangled and HE.. mr. mannnnn positioned her, stupidly, to look like she did it!!!" and then congrats herself for such great detective logic. 3. Missy doesn't understand that wires like that would, inevitably, stretch and stretch over time. 4. it's worth mentioning these TV shows like to play games on viewers and even though they have interview clips of every professional explaining that they *should find the wire has stretched (as does the body) the TV show does NOT include that so it appears something 'strange' (to Missy)) was found and obviously has no explanation from experts.

The bed thing is not suspicious at all. Loads of couples do that, especially if one or both are bad sleepers. Plus he may well have been drunk. For the same reason he may have drifted in and out of sleep and used his ‘phone in between without remembering it. Thanks for the video! I have to make one correction: he didn't say his wife moved the cooler, he was talking about the extension cord on top of the cooler. According to him, it should have been hanging on a hook on the wall. His son had used extension cord when he ended his life. The prosecution made a big deal about him moving the cooler during the time the Police was there, and I never understood why they thought it was significant.

Dandelion salad was VERY common during the Great Depression. A woman in her nineties - who has passed by now, however - had a KZbin channel called something like “Depression cooking”, one video in which she shows how her family made this salad. Dandelions actually are healthy & the white part of the flower is very sweet. The salad, however, is only the leafs.

I’m watching this on dateline and some things just stick out. “She promised her sister she wouldn’t die from suicide”, or “she wouldn’t make her bed before going off to die”. “She would NEVER do this, she’s ’happy’, ‘bubbly’, ‘she was fine’, etc” My friend died last August, she promised a lot of people including her own children… People leave things neat and tidy before leaving to die. So many people say their friend or family ‘would never’, but with SO MANY deaths by suicide people need to understand that their family and friends could or might, it happens to so many people and “no one saw it coming”.

Dear Dr Grande, this case reminds me about Bruno Lorandi, a man that lost his child in Italy: the boy was abducted by unknown individuals and then found strangled by a metal wire in a park. During the days the boy missed from home, the family received a ransom letter. The father Bruno Lorandi was investigated because he made suspicious statements, he lied about some points, and the police found out HE wrote the ransom letter. But he was never arrested and the case remained unsolved. ...about 20 years later the wife of Bruno (and mother of the dead child) was found strangled in her bed. The husband told he left her well and alive that morning... but this time he was arrested. There was all a situation of lack of money and the wife had a life insurance. You can find a deep dive interview on youtube, 1 hour long with him, he's just creepy. He talks about himself in 3' person. He insists how he had sex with his wife that morning. He's just uncanny. The interview is in Italian but I guess you can set the subtitles with automatic translation. Thank you for your interesting contents

OH and actually there is the case no.1 in Italy, discussed at the moment by every tv channel: the misterius death of Liliana Resinovich. The husband, as well, lost his daughter 10 years ago. Se committed suicide (?) by injecting herself with an overdose, and died well seated on the kitchen table. She put the syringe back in the box and plastic before she died. (?!). She had a caring, loving fiancè, she was waiting to being cured in hospital because her hearth condition, she looked happy but then she (?) did this. His father is well known for a LOT of debts, and for his histrionic personality. He's "famous" in the city, or better said: infamous. Everyone hates him, for many reasons. He's unreliable, he never gives money back, he's always lying, etc. One year ago his wife died as well. They found her after 3 weeks she was disappeared, closed in 4 trash bags in the woods. The police are investigating.. and it's unclear if it's suicide (!). The husband never looked for her, he didn't want to call the police, he sold or gave for free many of his disappeared wife's personal belongings, and he said to every shocked friend of the couple that "she'll never come back home: she committed suicide" (but she was only missing from home since 48 hours). The police found out that she had a secret lover and she was searching "how to divorce". She had all the money at home, her husband had only debts but asked for expensive gift for his son (from the previous marriage) and the night before she disappeared, witnesses saw the couple having a fight about money. The Italian police is investigating since 8 months and they are still saying it's suicide, even if the husband lied 2 about his alibi (he has no one), and about dozens of facts without reason.

I watched the trial Moore's lawyer was amazing to watch , however she was also scary with her aggressive approach. I believe the state's case was very sloppy and there were holes all over it.Its a very sad case but you run the risk of putting an innocent man in prison for life ? maybe we will never know the truth. There was so much tragedy in both thier lives it was like a perfect storm. Yes, Dr Grande birthdays are depressing I agree.

Solutions for brussels sprout hate: saute them with olive oil, onion & garlic - very good! We have another recipe that roasts them on a cookie sheet then you add a sauce that includes toasted pecans - very very good!! We've also had them in a restaurant where they low-roasted them until they separated into toasted paper thin layers, also with a sauce - those were extremely good!!!

Ir's a sad story! It seems to me that it would be very difficult for one person to hang someone from a tree even if she was only 100 pounds. If he did do it, and I'm not saying that he did, I hope he didn't end up inheriting her home, that would add insult to injury (no pun intended). I used to gather dandelions and mustard greens and miners lettuce with my mother on hikes in the woods. The mustard greens and dandelions are delicious steamed with a little butter and various seasonings:-)

The condo was left to her sister in the deed to the property. She left it to him in her will but the deed supersedes the will and the property is already in her name. However, he has already had his attorney file court papers to reinstate him as the heir.

It's not weird at all to swap beds especially after a night of drinking. I remember moving to the couch after using the restroom because the couch was cooler. Drinking makes me sweat in my sleep.
