If it's your first time playing, I recommend Strider. MK and Fighter are the most difficult vocations to master and not very beginner friendly.

i recently found a pretty cool thing the MK can do to the gazer, specifically with its great cannon skill. so i was fighting the gazer for the first, well actually second time, but it was NG+ and all so, first time, but again. anyway, i started whacking the glowing ball, but i wasnt dealing enough damage. im not sure how, maybe a mage or sorc was standing in the ball with magick agent or something last time i did this (at that time the gazer literally melted under the avalanche of projectiles), but this time i just wasnt getting enough projectiles. then i found out i could trigger it using great cannon projectiles, and after that i no longer wanted for damage
