Meanwhile modern glass buildings are the definition of the Ancient Death Ray.

Didn't a building like that get massive protests because it was melting stuff across the street?

It's also used as another form of solar energy where all the robot mirrors reflect the sun into a central point to make some thingy boil. It's been known to toast birds that fly into it.

@@KandiKlover I remember something about that from Fallout New Vegas...

Adam and Jaime going to meet with the president. Adam: put on his best suit. Jaime: Just used his regular cloths.

When I first watched this and found out the President also liked Mythbusters and watched it with his daughters, I thought it was so cool because I did the same with my younger sibling and our dad.

I love how Jamie just wears his normal clothes to meet Obama while Adam has a whole suit on 😂

Given _when_ it happened, and the poor reflective quality of mirrors of the time, it _must_ be considered that instead of white/silver metal mirrors, that bronze was instead employed. I'm of the mind that shallow convex plates were cast in a large enough quantity that the number used were sufficient to focus the sunlight once highly polished. I'm guessing that Archimedes was sitting at home in Syracuse when the sun reflected off his fruit bowl and set his curtains alight.

what they should have tried for the car flip was having the car break last second cause that would have gave the little bit of acceleration they needed

They would have used what they had access to. They had bronze in abundance, along with the knowledge of how to cast in great quantities. Neil Burridge is the world's foremost bronze age swordsmith, and the pieces he crafts are definitely shiny enough to be used as mirrors. Here's an idea of what their bronze would've looked like. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYHXpZmbd51rY9U With the amount of bronze still around in the time, I expect more than a few people had been in fire-related incidents, but that scant people had joined the dots, they didn't exactly have fire scene investigators back then!
