@@discoj7112Refrigeration just looked different. Ice farmers were a thing, they could deliver ice to your freezer. You could take your stuff to the local freezer. Or in some places, you can just dig a hole under your house and it will keep your food chilled and fresh for a very long time. Some people would literally preserve their food in mud, no salt needed. But there would have been more people back then depending on salted fish, true.

I’ve seen every podcast/video/interview Brittany has been on, and I feel like this is one of the first times I’ve heard new questions and discussions with her! I absolutely love it.

It’s so interesting to hear her story about childhood and never really being herself around her family and how they were disappointed she didn’t follow along the path they wanted even tho she knew all along she never was going to. I had such a similar upbringing at a first Baptist church in LA, and I rmbr never feeling like myself playing the act of all of it. I did it, but it never felt right or natural. As an adult, I know my mom isn’t super proud of how I’ve turned out but I’m much happier being myself in this way. So idk it’s bittersweet. But I relate so much to her whole story and I’m so happy she shared. Just another reason I have so much love for her :)

Brittany really wanted to be there and it showed. It was a beautiful , funny and thoughtful conversation, and I felt a bit happier after I had watched it.

I really appreciated the first 10 mins of you guys conversation. It’s nice to know, that even as a black woman, I can relate and have these deep/ meaningful conversations of things I didn’t know if it was okay/normal to think about.

As someone from East Texas who’s about the same age as Brittany, I can relate to her religious trauma/hiding your true self/feeling free floating and almost isolated from family so much it’s wild.

I think you guys have 100% done more good than harm in terms of the population. Rhett & Link 100% helped me through some suicidal teenage years. And I know that I'm not alone in this. I've had conversations with people in the comments section and seen people comments section about it, here and in other spaces on KZbin. You guys have brought joy to me and plenty of others in our worst times and we are always, forever, going to be grateful to you, truly we will.

Every collab / interview video with Britanny has the comment section so full of " the have the best chemistry" , " I want to see more of these two" , and I agree every time ! She really is awsome in a way that works , genuinly, with everyone 😱

My position on letting go of religion (having been raised Catholic) was completely the opposite of Brittany. I felt so free when I realized I didn't need a man in a fancy robe to tell me to be a good person

Mentally, I felt about what age I actually was until I turned 17. At 17 I still felt 16. At 18 I still felt 16. I'm 30, I still feel 16, but also simultaneously 90. I feel ancient, and yet also like I shouldn't be allowed to be an adult.

“I didn’t know I needed to be self conscious about those things” you don’t need to be self conscious about anything. Y’all are wonderful the way you are and anyone who doesn’t realize that is too caught up in their own anxious turmoil to be trusted.
