Honestly let's call Brandan and Mary's relationship what it is...abusive. Isolating someone from their family and friends is what an abuser does to have control and power over a person. We honestly shouldn't be excusing Mary's actions by saying she does things out of love. This is clearly an unhealthy relationship. Brandon has invested two years of his life, being on the phone 24/7. He has invested sooooo much of the little money that he had to the house built in the Philippines. Which makes it harder to leave a relationship when you have invested so much time and money. I once had a guy say that he wanted me to gain weight, so no other guy would find me attractive, honestly..Im just gonna say it. I think that's what Marry is trying to do. Make him gain weight because she's insecure and jealous, in her mind she probably feels that women will find him less attractive if she's fat. As a Filipino who lives in Bacolod City, 3 hours from where Mary lives. I can confidentally say that fattening your husband is kinda our thing. You see, for us Filipinos, food is our love language. One of the ways a wife can show that she's taking care of her husband is by feeding him lots. I'm 26 and a lot of my male friends who got married, gained weight after marriage. Just recently, at a friends wedding, we were joking around with the groom with how underfed he was, our other married friend who also gained weight after marriage said "just you wait. Give him a few months and he'll be heavier." We all laughed coz we know it's true. For us, a fat husband, is a well taken cared of husband. Incoming rant: It would be an understatement to say this couple (specifically her) is really uncomfortable to watch. Between her shoving that food down his throat to her double standard/lying about turning her wifi off to not telling him about the no kissing without permission rule (lying by omission)... it's absolute madness. He sent her and her family $60k to build that house, they've used him too. I seriously question the claim she made about how he allegedly made her drop out of school?? I'm not buying it. Honestly, I think she uses that "excuse" to make herself look less possessive or justify her DEEEEEEEEEP insecurities. In reality, she may be the most toxic, highly dysfunctional female I have ever seen on or off screen. She's next level disturbed. I am not sure she will ever grow up or get the help she clearly needs. And now thev're married and she's pregnant so they're bringing an innocent child into the middle of their madness. it's just absurdity on another level.

I foresee her either becoming an extreme helicopter mom who withholds the kid when Brandan upsets her or she becomes unreasonably jealous of the attention he gives their child. They’re essentially two children raising a human. As much as I hate to say this, that kid WILL be affected by their highly unhealthy dynamic. And if her grandparents are there, they don’t strike me as people who will care much. Her grandparents are very apathetic and dismissive of her idiocy/emotional instability (in my humble opinion). I hope I’m wrong.

It was an interesting truthful moment, but it’s selfish to abuse someone for your own personal gain. She has major abuse/trust issues from her previous relationship and she is making Brandon pay for someone else’s abuse. It’s really not right to treat people like this no matter what gender.
