We are coming upon the 70th jubilee the Bible ( king James) teaches us. It’s about to intensify. Watch the sun 🌞 activity. The solar flare are constant now and it’s heating up the earth. My daughter was in Clearwater a year for residency. Beautiful place. But Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolina’s were hit hard too by Helene. This storm was a monster. One entire hospital in Tennessee is gone. They rescued staff & patients from the root top. Crazy stories coming out.

Hurricanes are mother nature’s way of cooling off an over heated part of the ocean. Hurricanes have also been drought breakers as well. But if you live anywhere on the gulf coast you’re going to have to prepare for an eventual hurricane hitting. If I had a house on the gulf coast it would be on strong concrete stilts far higher than the ones you see on the coast today and the entire structure would be concrete. If you can’t or won’t do that then don’t live on the coast where you’re at risk of hurricane ocean surges.
@FLYEAL

Man that’s a spot on comment. My family has been on or near coastal Florida for 3 generations. It’s different now. Since about 2004. We keep selling to them and moving back or far away. Developers don’t care, more and more people are unaware of what they are getting themselves into - although the relative unavailability of insurance should give them a clue. All concrete, self-insure and plenty of sunscreen and hats.

There are a lot of concrete homes on stilts in the FL Keys. And they seem to do pretty well with hurricanes if their roofs stay on. I saw some in Belize that had lost roofs and they were empty. But they don't have the same building codes. I grew up in Sarasota and I don't understand why they don't automatically build on stilts. Now I live by the Chesapeake Bay and I have the same question. We had a lot of rain yesterday from the storm and there were flood warnings. When we have really high tides some roads get wet without a storm. But the only stilt homes are right on the water. It's silly.

So odd to see Gulfview Boulevard so empty of cars, people, and beachgoers. I hope Salty's (across from the Opal Sands) and Frenchy's South are Ok ... Jimmy's Fish House, too, which is right behind the Holiday Inn on the water.

I'm not from Florida, but I thought Scientology owned the City of Clearwater. That's the way Scientology presents itself, some great presence that barged in and overtook the City in the 1970's. The cult members have purchased the entire downtown Clearwater area and are letting numerous buildings sit vacant. I hope that after this storm which flooded everything, the cult of Scientology will not let their properties rot. So far, they have not (after decades) revitalized their downtown properties, after promising City leaders to do so. Probably because this cult does not want outsiders nor tourists in "their" city.

Please worship the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LORD GOD and try not to worry too much about the differences between the different religions and denominations, try to think about the similarities and the things they may have in common more than the differences. Daily prayer is a fundamental part that many people do not practice although it is encouraged. "CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, I beg you to never force me to worship any false god or object and I ask you for forgiveness for my sins and immorality. Thank you for everything. Amen." Please pray this now, pray the words as you read them if you cannot look and remember them 🙏 and please know that daily prayer will give you the help that GOD wants you to have. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of GOD in Christ Jesus for you." Daily prayer is the key to success in politics and much of life, if only more would practice it 🙏
