Sharpie and Alcohol Ink Tutorial for a Crossbody Purse with Red Poppies

Here is another cheap, fast, and easy art project.
I sketched the poppies with sharpies and softened the ink with alcohol. The boho vibe is created with various fibers and dangly bead trim. I added a charm. The charm is stamped with the word "Wander", which has absolutely nothing to do with the poppies.

pretty ! I wanted to do something like this on my jeans, but i didnt know if it would hold up in the wash or make a mess in the wash. Have you ever tried it on jeans?

I have not tried it on denim. It does fade with washing!

I 'm an artist who's used Sharpie on denim. I recommend it if you are someone who wears jeans/denim a few times before washing. Drawings on the pants outlasted the pants; although it was still a bit faded. Use these tips: 1. Prewash and dry material 2. Set drawing on fabric with ironing 3. Wash with only cold water. Dry on the highest heat though because...you know...it kills germs. Safety first!

Hi just wanna ask if it's waterproof? I have sharpie marker pen as well and I want to try it in tote bags.

I would test it on an inconspicuous area like a seam on the inside. Let it dry overnight or at least several hours then put a drop of water on it.
