The creators of this cosmetics brand have proven three things: that products can be both affordable and good. Second, it’s so affordable price wise that most people don’t mind trying it at least once. And third, in this economy where there is no money to waste, there is no shame in buying affordable drugstore makeup. People can do without the fancy packaging. For now, what matters most is affordability, quality and performance. A win win for the consumer and a win win for the companies providing products with affordable price point. What’s not to love?

I love a lot of their products, but like you, some just don’t work for me. But that said, I am always thrilled when they release new products to try. 100% on the labeling..lol. I your honest reviews are so appreciated, especially with these more affordable brands. I love to play with different products, but after a while, we have a pretty strong stash and spending more money really isn’t necessary. I love Elf products too! One of my favorites is the holy hydration moisturizer with spf 30. Just love it for everyday under my make up. It is very moisturizing, not greasy, and just keeps my 72 year old skin looking healthy. I tried the glowy spf and it made my skin feel irritated. Love their eye shadows and eye pencils too.

I'm not a fan of the concealer but most of their products are wonderful. And as a side note... I spent a lot of money on BK Beauty brushes & I love the ELF brushes as much or more & the price point is amazing

I started using castor oil on my arms and, even though it’s a little drying, I was so surprised what it did for my sun spots. I was so impressed that I’ve started using it over my upper lip where I have a lot of hyper pigmentation. It’s already working. I just use it over all the skin care on my upper lip area. Just a drop does the trick. I’ve tried everything from peels to retin a to vitamin c. Nothing works as well for me as castor oil on my skin. And I have very discolored , very dry skin. Get the cold pressed kind in a glass bottle. Like black castor oil. Marshall’s usually has it for a real good price.

I agree with this comment. I put a drop of my night cream, a drop of castor oil and a drop of vitamin C (to help thin out the consistency of the castor oil and put it all over my face and neck before bed and I’ve seen a huge difference in my fine lines and wrinkles. I also drink Spoiled Child liquid collagen and it helps plump my skin as well. I’m on my 2nd bottle and I’ve seen a huge difference in my skin, hair and nails.

Love your content! I’m a big Elf fan! I’ve used the Thrive Causemetics tubing mascara when it came out years ago! Loved, love it! However, for the price, Elf’s mascara is just as good! I have all Elf’s concealers and I’m not really liking them. Too heavy and cakey! The Camo blushes are gorgeous! Blend so beautifully! Tube lipstick o face are wonderful! Lip liners are good for the price, can’t beat them! I love their Tarte dupes better than the brand, Tarte is very gloppy,if that makes sense, Elf isn’t. Thanks for the tip, about powdering side of your face to stop your hair from sticking! One of my big pet peeves! Natasha Denona concealer is my high end favorite. Catrice is my drug store favorite! @@margerymullins7806 I use Mac setting spray as last step of makeup application and I’ve never found it to go cakey or orange. I do use concealer sparingly though. I just dot in the inside and outside corners and blend under and into the top eyelid also.

I used to use their brow pencil and I liked it but there just isn’t much product in them…so I switched to their brow gel and love it so much more. It lasts a long time and if it starts drying out I just add a couple drops castor oil to it. It also works great as my eyeliner. So I get two products in one that way. Love it ! Thx for this video.

Not all bronzing drop or cream have self tan properties. It’s only the self tan part that brings out sun spots. Same with every self tanner for the body.

Finally, founding someone who is over 40, who did a look I have been wanting. She her make up who just enhances her skin looking fresh. Doesn't look over done. Where it seems her natural skin shines through. Yet not under done, she looks put together. I am not a great writer so I hope it made sense. It was exactly what I was thinking, I want it. I thought I was asking too much, & maybe to old. Because everytime I would see someone doing their makeup that was over the age of 40, it was beautiful but just too much for me. I’m 53 and everything you have that worked believe it or not is what has worked for me. The concealer made my under eyes look terrible. I couldn’t even use it to spot conceal. But most of the ELF products, including skin care has been fabulous. Elf is my favorite drug store brand. My daily face is completely ELF now. Nothing else. I’m so glad that you have started getting into these drug store brands. I almost stopped watching because I felt that it was always high end that you were working with, but I am so glad that I decided to stay. Hi Michelle! My name is Jennifer (or Jen,or Jenny...) and I am a 44 yr old L.A native like you! and I wanted to say thank you for this video showing how great ELF can be...when they do something good, its really good, and even when I'm not overwhelmed by something, usually that;s because its not really intended for me, specifically, but honestly I cant remember ever trying anything horrible from ELF. Oh, and I wanted to say thanks for showing that Camo CC cream...it's something I had seen advertised but sort of thought somehow it wouldn't be wearable for me. Well, so I tried it,and unfortunately the only thing is maybe I bought too light of a shade, probably out of just grabbing in store and not thinking of the fact that I can get a shade or almost 2 darker in the summertime (yeah, I do use SPF, but I also live in Las Vegas...lol)...but the formula wowed me right off the bat. Being that I do have oily, textured, mature skin, I thought it would be overly heavy or if it wasn't and light, that it would settle into my fine lines and pores in an unflattering way, but it didn't! I do think for complexion products like a foundation or CC cream, ELF could improve little as far as a wider selection of shades and also, as you mentioned, sometimes the labeling isn't too helpful (well what do we want for that price, right) but yeah, just wanted to drop you a little thank you note for being an inspiring, gorgeous, and very down-to-earth and helpful beauty influencer. Sometimes you and I are going to use opposite types of things, I think I have to always remember that my oily skin is going to make products that things you love, like the Hollywood Flawless Filter I saw you use in another video, and that look great on your skin type may look different on somebody like me who has different flaws, and beauties, and is unique as we all are, but uniquely beautiful, and that's with much thanks to ladies like you!

The jergens after shower lotion with gradual tanner gives a smidge of color after a week or 2 of use with no cling on spots. It's definitely not going to have same result color wise as a tanner. For a temporary darker color for legs, sally hansen spray on is my go to. It covers everything like spiderveins and washes off with soap and water. Sweat doesn't seem to bother it. I add bronzing drops to sunscreen to tint it.

Watch you for the first time you’re very beautiful. What you got done is very natural. I got laser on my skin for dark spots and I was burned very badly. The eye Dr. who owns the salon said oh that’s so great. That means you had all those brown spots underneath your skin. Wow, how upsetting. It’s Burn spots on my skin. He gave me an injection to lift my eyebrows. It did nothing but left a big lump on the side of my head. I hid it with my hair for seven months, I went to visit a friend who works with a plastic surgeon to remove it, he said why didn’t your Dr. remove it?? My dr said it’s a great illusion which I don’t seem to understand. I went to an esthetician who was shocked and removed it with 2 visits. Thank you for your honesty. It’s very refreshing. thank you for warning women that haven’t had bad experiences. I totally agree, It’s very scary. Nancy

That warm purple T-shirt looks amazing on you! Isn’t color analysis life-changing?! I have a bunch of elf brushes because when I started out just a couple of years ago with makeup, I didn’t know what else to buy. The truth is I still really really like them, even though now I know you can get high end, Super special brushes. I don’t need those; I like the elf ones just fine! I do prefer rephr brushes for eye makeup, but the elf brushes for face products work great!

I am not a bronzer person but tried the RMS beauty hydra powder bronzer in fair and like it. It gave me a nice glow with a light sun kiss look. I just place where the sun would hit the face.

Bingo! It’s meant to just give a little warmth to the face and women who are cool, toned, or fare need completely different shades from the typical orange or red bronze

Yes so true since I have been away from sunbathing and now 67 I am fair to light which when I was young I was able to use medium shade. So now I live to experience with a new palette. Love your videos thank you for being with us mature women.

I'm going to be 44 this September & I still enjoy using my Elf hydrating camo concealer. To be 100% honest, I have not tried many things from Elf that I did not enjoy. Granted, they've released so many things, it's hard to keep up lol

Great video! The ELF website is so clunky, slow & difficult to use! I thought it might be my browser, so I tried another & same issue! Any tips for the website? Elf makes those triangle powder puffs for like $4. When I was at Ulta, the only puffs they had were by New Techniques for $18!! It’s crazy how good Elf is for such affordable prices ❤

I have been working over a year trying to build self-esteem I’m a 53 year, old wife and mother of two daughters in their 20s. I have really come to love what make up does to soothe your soul and build you up. Just recently have I been drawn to.ELF products and you cannot believe how impressed I have been! It is my desire to try to create an entire face using elf when I have the funds to do so. I am a teacher and we have 25 days of school. I cannot wait to spend the months on my back porch, your videos and trying to create some of these looks. Quick question. Is a BB cream or cc cream better for summer humid months? I live in Maryland and it is super hot and humid all summer. Would like to go with a lighter look and foundation free. Thank you for helping me rediscover the person I used to be.❤

Ooh I have a full bin of elf too. I don’t feel so bad now, lol! I actually prefer elf’s tubing mascara over the Thrive Causemetics one because Thrive is a very wet, messy formula. elf found the sweet spot with their formula.

I am vegan and budget conscious and elf is my go-to. I love the lash and roll mascara, lipsticks, and the brow pencils. I can't wear foundations that have silicone -they break me out. I really enjoyed watching your video and it was so good, I might watch it twice!

Elf bronzing drops are the first I ever tried so I can't speak for others I'm 45 with dry mature skin fighting fine lines and adding extra hydration are my main concerns. It does say on the website to add the bronzing drops to foundation or moisturizer I add mine either to my primer or foundation and I got mine right when they launched in the pure gold. Now I do recommend not putting them directly on skin because they can look patchy but that's why u need to add them to another product they dry down so quick and it takes a lot more too. Now I don't know if this disrupts my spf from working but my fave way of using the bronzing drops was first with the whoa glow and mix the bronzing drops to it and I wear just that a lot but then I used my jelly pop also then my it cc cream it was beautiful.❤😊 the drops are also good for deepening foundation shade into your summer color ive done tha5 as well bottom line I love bronzer I never used bronzing drops b4 elf now I wear them everyday I have to make myself not use them in fact I was thinking if I use em this much I'm gonna need more. They became a staple I never knew I needed or wanted or loved. I love elf because they are on top of their game there isn't much I don't like but they do miss once in a while everyone loves the putty blush I want to buy more colors but the color I have is patchy no matter how or what I use to apply them unfortunate

Halo glow, 70 yo, HATED it when i bought it. But, a couple weeks ago, I didn't want to put makeup on but my skin was dry and it was looking thin, wrinkly, old, sallow. I thought I'd try this. This is all I had on my face. My face not only look Dewey of course, but it looks like my skin was thicker. Yay!
