Please note that Com E.K.Nayanar was first selected as the CPM State Secretary in 1972.At that time none of the leaders you have mentioned above were not even in the picture.Comrade Nayanar led the party when the political scenario was the worst as far as CPM was concerned.Com Nayanar led the cpm from 1972 till 1980.You may also note that Com Nayanar led Cpm through that era with minimum resources and with all the parties including the left parties like cpi,rsp unnder the umbrella of Congress.Com Nayanar had to start everything from scratch.It was not a bed of roses for Com Nayanar.Com Nayanar was way ahead and senior to all the leaders that you have mentioned above and he never required any help from them.The leaders you have mentioned needed help to climb up the ladder. Com Nayanar had also played an important role in the formation of the current left democratic front which he managed very well as Cpm State Secretary to election victory in 1980 and Com.E.K.Nayanar was selected as the Chief Minister of Kerala for the first time in 1980 which was 11 years later, after CPM lost power in 1969.So please do not comment without knowing the facts and history.
