These are so good! Made them according to recipe the first time. Had a little trouble with the dough tearing when I was forming the pies. Turned out fine. 2nd time, I increased to kneading to 2-3 minutes. The dough was more difficult to roll out due to the extra gluten development. However, I had no issues with it tearing even though I doubled the filling. My meat pies were not quite as crisp. I think this is due to the extra liquid from doubling the filling. There was a noticeable layer of soggy dough next to the meat that reminded me of a steam bun. Outer layers were still crisp and flakey. My kids like these meat pies so much, I'll be making them again. This time instead of doubling, I'll only increase the filling by 50%.

This is very crispy and delicious. I made it before, must fry with more oil, once I didn't add in enough oil on the 2 batch, the colour was totally different. It's a very good recipe to keep.
