Working on this Starlux seat for around 2 and a half years. It's been a challenging journey with this program and the first 3 shipsets of seats were very challenging and difficult to produce, but the product speaks for itself it's absolutely beautiful

I think Starlux will be one of the best airlines in Northeast Asia. Undoubtedly, its hardwares are the newest and have excellent inflight meals. Of course, there are some disadvantages that need to be improved; however, the potential of this airline is foreseeable. Hope Starlux can be the TOP airlines in the world. By the way, their chairman, Kuo-Wei Chang is also very captivating, I’ve never seen any airline owns can fly a plane. His career is also legendary lmao. Indeed, EVA airways and China Airline are both competitive. I still believe this new brand can be the proud of Taiwan. -written by a commentator from Taiwan.

What a great team of cabin crews onboard! I really enjoyed the video so much seeing these professionals serving the passengers, and yes you could tell that they have put in so much efforts to make Starlux the gem of Taiwan. I usually fly SQ to Taiwan every November for the last ten years (other than those 3 years of closed broader) and this year I have just booked my first Starlux flight after seeing and hearing so much good things about this new airlines.

I flew this Plane with Starlux from Taipei to Singapore and it was awesome! Great seats made by Recaro! even the Economy seats are very good. Ther service and food on board was fantastic! The plane is quiet and very stable even when landing in rain. looking forward to flying with them to LA or SFO in the future! Cheers and great review as always!

Mr Kw Chang is very polite and well spoken, who also delivers some good words of wisdom too. Looks like he is really enjoying his job. I wish him and his airline all the best. Beautiful airline and a nice factory fresh A350. Taiwan is full of so many surprises: Giant Bicycles who makes the worlds best bikes. And Evergreen Aviation Technologies who were involved in most of the heavy engineering to convert 4 ex airline Boeing 747-400 into 4 Dreamlifters Taiwan looks like a nice place to go and visit. And I really want to fly on Stralux now.

​@@SamChui Like Mr Chang I also started in aircraft maintenance. In December 2019 I had the pleasure of being on the last Qantas Boeing 747 out of San Francisco. Spent some time talking with the Steward who told the Captain that I had made the trip all the way from Perth just to be on the flight. As it turned out the Captain was also from Perth, and as it also turned out we had both been to the Kent Street High School Aeronautics program in Perth way back in the 1980'S (but a few years apart). On the strength of that he invited me to the flight deck after we arrived in Sydney. Mr Malcolm Yeo our wonderful teacher who started the Aeronautics program at Kent Street High School unfortunately passed away late last year. Its very nice to see that his students are still out and about and flying all over the world.

Having a chairman who not only was a pilot but still can and does do it, and seemingly started at the bottom in maintenance and worked up, sounds like a really strong basis for a company and the understanding of the fundamentals of an airline. Some airlines boards and CEO's you wonder if they have ever actually been on their own planes before. Never heard of Starlux before but hope it goes well for them and they do great things and I get to try them.

I read KW Chang story few years ago, He was doing really well in Eva until his dad pass away, he got sack in the middle of the flight as a pilot to Singapore. I am currently in my native country of Sweden visiting. On the way here from New York, we flew Scandinavian airlines economy plus. I really like that. The seats were wider, there was more room to stretch your legs, and the food was very very good. Unfortunately, I could not finish it because we had access to the lounge at Newark and we ate a lot at the lounge. So I could not finish the food on the plane. It wasn’t all there. A330-343. However, that is still a great airplane. They also dimmed the lights in the middle of the night. I tried to sleep, but for some reason my mind was just wondering, so I couldn’t. But I was able to rest. All in all, a great flight! Thank you for this wonderful review!

Wow, Sam! Such a far, far cry from Pan Am Boeing 707 flights across the Pacific which I took many times w/ my parents when I was still in grade school and when small children did not often do such long flights. And I though that was classy way back then. The A350 crew are fantastic and they presented everything which such class and poise. To have the Starlux CEO himself pilot you to L.A. is mindboggling and impressive to no end! Also, I didn't even know that there was such a thing as Taiwanese caviar. Amazing. Sam, first of all let me start off by saying that you are definitely my favourite Avgeek. Your politeness, kindness and respect for people do not leave anyone indifferent, indeed you have nice way of breaking the ice, yet your seriousness at work is always spot-on and beneficial for all concerned. Then in this report you covered a superb airline, the blend of cabin colours, the décor, the ambiance, the food, the crew, .... everything is truly awesome. Be it first class or economy, Starlux is a clear example to follow. I would readily forgive the few glitches that happened, indeed such things do happen but hey, who would complain in view of the excellence that surrounds you? Then it's Taiwan, a beautiful country and a beautiful people whom I have a very soft spot for. Then those beautiful Rolls Royce engines, simply an awesome sight and sounds. I cannot agree more with you, when a flight is as excellent, then no matter how long it may be, one will always wish that it was a little bit longer. This particular video is one I enjoyed so much that I actually watched it twice. I tip my hat to Taiwan, to Starlux and the fantastic crew for a great job, bravo, my respects and admiration to them all, and to you of course, bravo !!

The colour scheme of this airline is one of the best, if not the best! The bronze gold conveys a sense of luxury without the overwhelming effect seen on Middle East airlines. The food seems amazing. Only the lounge seems less impressive - Cathay Pacific Taipei lounge still remains my favourite!

@@luckymartin6823 Oh, it’s life changing and you arrive like you were on a two hour flight rather than a ten plus hour flight. There are several airlines that have Boeing Dreamliners in their fleet. Air Tahiti Nui is one of them for LAX to Paris (nonstop).

I love the colors of this airline so much, and it looks very sharp on the A350 or 330Neo. I bought a diecast model of this and it's beautiful.

Loving Starlux and definitely the first choice for me to fly between Taiwan and SG. The only downside was also the bluetooth connection for me, hope they can smoothen the connection issues.

Love the airline and looking forward to travel on starlux. I guess the only slightly underwhelming part is first class and business class is hardly well differentiated. The seats seems really similar and the 4 first class seats are basically the first row seats right in front of the business class.

So many good things about this video Sam. Brings back memories of flying in and out of Taipei. I love the way the ground crew wave, as the plane taxis off. Starlux definitely has some amazing crew and a wonderful product. The cabin crew spoke of practice and the Capt/Chairman also spoke about practice. Very inspirational attitude. I can't wait to fly with them. 👍

Love the food, looked more like a Michelin star restaurant. The cabin interior and bathroom looks awesome. The amenity kit is one of the coolest I have seen.
