Here is my theory on how the HPFP works (based on my observations) and the two different reasons the pumps can fail.

Glad i found this vid… my 535 n54 ran perfect out of nowhere started dying. Scanned it got 88psi lpfp and read the same on hpfp… i bought an amazon hpfp having similar issue going to try a more expensive one tomorrow.. I have new lpfp New low pressure sensor New plugs and coils I only get codes regarding low fuel pressure on the high side

I had to replace mine, found one on a crashed mini at the junk yard for $25 & works perfectly

Ok cool. Now give me the model of mini/ and part number cross reference ASAP and for everybody else.

This is a similar setup as a pressure washer pump

Man, bad luck there, these pump are expensive, wonder something else cost it to failed.

I’ve been having a lpfp pressure issue lately start up would be 64 psi and as car warms lpfp pressure drops to around 50 ish psi at operating temp. Last night on a drive my rail pressure dropped to lpfp pressure abruptly and here I am just a weird issue unsure if both issues are related but my rail pressure was normal 700 psi at idle around 2500 on a hard pull.

When my first pump failed (internal seal failure) it was like that - it seemed to work ok intermittently. But it got progressively worse until the rail pressure was low all the time.

mixture control 1 & 2 together and pressure plausibility , i replaced lpfp and filter and still got the codes popping , you believe i should try to replace Hpfp also ?
@mrlarrybobjr11 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s very expensive part.

You check this code using obd2 scanner?
@mrlarrybobjr11 ай бұрын
Yes. Which scanner he used I have no idea.

Do you think the seals can be replaced?
@DarkePeak8 күн бұрын
Yes, but it’s a complicated process that needs to be done in an oil bath

@@DarkePeak i hope one day you can make it and share it with us. Thank you for your videos!

You would think it would idle fine with 6000ish hPa from the low pump but yeah it won’t even idle correct.
